Is the Miracle-Grow 18-18-21 tomato food sufficient for the entire flowering stage? I am at day 21 of flowering with these nutes and she is looking limey. Nute burn? I added it as advised on the box when I watered yesterday.IMG_1048.jpgIMG_1046.jpgIMG_1045.jpgIMG_1044.jpg

the strength on the box is probably for outdoor soil growing, indoor container grows need much less and you should flush your soil with a heavy watering between feedings.
a teaspoon/gallon of water is all I use.

those plants are healthy. If your not getting slow growth or burnt tips your fine. fertilizer is fertilizer. they ALL have N P and K. so whats whats the differecnce? a brand name and hefty price tag for they stuff from hydro stores

just because it works dont mean you should use it. yes it WILL grow a plant but the quality of smoke IMO is far from what it could be with pretty much anything else.

for all the miracle grow haters I just pulled 17.5 oz off three plants under a 600 watt light, mg soil and nutes. It does work just have to be View attachment 1511713careful early on not to use any nutes for a while.
Hey this is the irst tme I'm using MG and with great sucsess so far. I used to grow DWC but it was too much attention needed and too much worry if power goes out. anyway went to MG when the plant was about ten inches high. I plan on nuting during flowering. By that time the nutes in the soil should be depleted. My thinking at least. Any tips would be great if you want to compare notes. I'm also using 600 watts mh and hps in a 4x4x7 grow room I built. I look forward to hearing from you. I got 7 oz from my dwc setup with wwx and big bud. I was pleased with the results but feel I can achieve the same in soil. well see!

A friend of mine used MG for a while with fantastic results quality wise. My guess is that yield could be improved with a better formulation, but it's not going to be an astronomical amount. Still, a humble 5% increase in weight using a fert specifically designed for a crop would be worth making the switch. If MG is the only thing available it will work just fine but if plant specific food is available, might as well use it.

I do mix 50% native soil to the MG garden soil as well as some perlite. Not over thinking anything. Thats where I seemed to get in trouble in the past. All I do is watch my babies closely from day to day to watch for deficiencies and know what to look for and how to react to the issue. I will wait to see a hint of Magnesium Deficiency and thats when I will start nuting if before flower period. From my experience a MG def is usually the first to show up. that and nitrogen. I like to walk a fine line on the low side of nutes and just watch the plant to tell me what she wants and what she doesnt. I never change more than one variable at a time. I hope the quality is as good as the DWC. Its just clones from the last one which is killer and prob have enough to smoke for 6 mos from each plant. I love saving 5-600.00 a month by not buying from a dealer. I already saved an easy 15 to 1800.00 dollars. I'm on my 3rd gen of this strain. I love it too cause people are so appreciative when you just get in the habit of handing out free bud. Still no one knows I grow. they come over and never suspect what is going on. Its so hard not to take credit for it. If anyone ever saw Breaking bad when Walt was pissed that he couldnt get credit for his Blue ICE. Same feeling. I can relate. I'm sure everyone growing on the DL does.

Step away from the ferts....first what stage are they at? and don't use anything that high in numbers!!!!
If veging use a 12-3-6 or some thing like that when flowering use the 6-12-12 tomato as per directions, after one month repeat. Grab a bag of compost, cow, sheep sea mix what ever and toss some in also.
The high number doesn't mean stronger in that sense. It just means stronger concentration.

A 20-20-20 is the same as 1-1-1 or 10-10-10, the concentration is just different.

I found some food for Tomatoes at Home Depot, Miracle-Grow 18-18-21. I have never used Miracle-Gro for my plants. I don't live near any hydroponics stores, so... I kind of have to use Miracle-Gro.

:(

Would this work for vegging?
Or Flowering?
Should I try another product?
Walmart carries all kinds of organic and synthetic stuff in the spring and summer.

Look at Walmart.com and order soil or anything you want and get free shipping to your local store.

Dynagro has a nice sample kit for $19. Basically just pay shipping.

You get a quart each of thier foliage pro 9-3-6, a quart of protect (silica).

A pint each of bloom, mag pro and rooting concentrate.

Just email them.

Salts are salts. MG ferts are made with the same salts that other companies use.

Miracle grow works. If it didn't they wouldn't have pallets of it in stores.

I grow and prefer organic.

Miracle grow works. Its just people, mainly noobs, don't realize how strong it is.

The spoon has a big and little end. Don't use the big end. Basically use it at 1/4 to 1/2 strength.

The only reason I wouldn't use MG is because of the heavy metals in it.

Cannabis is not a special plant. It grows in almost every climate on earth. It doesn't need special feeds. It needs all macro and micro nutrients, miracle grow has all of them.

So like Dynagro or Jacks nutes likely could be used in the same soil that contained miracle gro nutes because the salts are the same?

Yes.

I really don't recommend anyone use miracle grow. It works but its not as clean as they don't remove heavy metals fro their products.

I also said the salts are the same. They are but different grades. Pharmaceutical grade salts at better and some companies use them.

I prefer dynagro. I'm using megacrop now and really like it.
