The previously used soil should work fine as long and it was not last used to grow cannabis. If you want to be sure, use the oven to sterilize the old mix. Mix it up good and get it damp before you transplant. Don't worry about the miracle grow right now. The seed has enough food to make it for a while before the plant requires fertilizer.
It's not a good idea to grow cannabis in you parent's house unless they know about it. You are 18 or older right?

it is a weed after all and grows pretty good under adverse conditions. i think the purpose of the site is to promote growing under the best possible conditions but that doesn't mean it won't grow under the worse possible conditions.
