Mixed my own grow medium & need help with choosing hydro vs. soil fertilizer

This is my first grow & I am 3 weeks in. It's time for me to shop for some fertilizers & I am not sure which type to buy - hydro or soil? The one I am looking into is the Fox Farm trio, which comes in either hydro or soil. Please help!!!
My grow medium is:

1 part Perlite
1 part Vermiculite
1 part Worm Castings
2 parts Miracle Gro Potting Mix (made of "forest products compost," peat moss, & fertilizer - .21% N, .07%
phosphate, .14% potash, .10% Iron)
2 tbsp Dolomite Lime

I would be grateful for any advice or suggestions. Thank you, my friends.
P.S. I have attached a picture to show off my mutant plant w/ conjoined leaves. I have 3 plants all coming from the same mother & this is the only one that looks like this.

Be patient. Its not a sprint. Its a marathon. Do nothing but water, keep bugs off and feed some. Don't be so over bearing with the plant. Get it in a bigger pot. The leafs are just growing.
If its clone you may see 1,2 and 3 leafs on some Calyx. I know it sounds simple but considering 90% comes from the genetics. Just provide lots of MOTHER NATURING.
Create the environment but don't OCD on the plant. I do it like that most years. Always get the very best - good luck and keep us posted. downsized_0806121803c.jpg

Don't necessarily get caught up in all the marketing hype. See what is best for the plant not some for profit fertilizer maker.

I use Botanicare Pure Blend Pro nute line, all organic and you can feed early with it!!! Contains, seabird guano compost, kelp and more! I have 2.5 week ol little ones with 'full mass' root wauds in 6 inch pots. I will post pics at next transplant.

I would recommend this just because its very easy to use, hard to 'overdose' the plants and if you got it on the leaves it wont burn it!! I use a little more than the bottle label recommends i use about 23ml/gal and upping it up to about 30ml/gal in weeks 2-6, as opposed to the recommended 15ml/gal for the first week of veg.
