hi all...my problem is this...i had my grow box set up for a hydro grow..top drip feed method....the problem is this...im worried about the rez getting to warm and such.. for i cannot afford a chiller right now and the 2 liters in the rez thing is just not gonna do it....i also lack a ph meter and such...with no monies to invest in this at the moment to get it up and fully functional...i decided to just go soil as for my beans are ready to take their places...so i was wondering....can i mix my hydroton rocks with soil to help with drainage and oxygen flow?....is this ok?...or will it make the ph totally whacked the fuzz out?....as always...help much appreciated....Sp

i would think it would be ok... similar to adding perlite or rocks to the soil. expensive, so i wouldnt do it though.

save the hydroton till you get the rest of your hydro toys lined up and just use the soil.
