Mixing veg and flowering lights?

My buddy says its good for your plant if you have just a few flowering lights in your veg stage and visa versa. Is that true or should you just go all veg/flowering? Using CFLs.

yup hes right mixed specturm is the best. if you using 400w id do 2 6500k, the other 2 2700k

Well it doesn't really matter if there half and half or 3/4s on spectrum. I just recommend half and half because thats what I had best results with back when I grew with CFLs.

all about lumens.. most people notice an increase after adding MHs to a room... Its because theyre adding lumens not necessarily spectrum... obviously spectrum plays a role but it you remove a HPS to add a MH... Youre not going to see an increase in anything... youre actually reducing the lumens at that point
