Mixing White & Multi Spectrum Chip LEDs to Grow MedMan Silver Skunk BX1

Dry enough to remove buds from stems

Cut buds as close as possible

40gms

BUT there are a good bit of seeds in it :f:

This was a cross between Blueberry Cheese Cake and Big Mexican male pollen from the Silver Skunk Bx1

She will be my personal smoke, so I can keep the seeds off the street

The female Big Mexican smells bitter

Not sure if that is Skunk or what, but smoking a tiny bit of her definitely works.

I smoke too little at a time to get much of a taste, but it is smooth

If you asking about increased potency over time, people are reordering

I use so little per smoke, hard to know, and how I feel at the time also has an effect

Yes, 4th week of August (new moon)

Will go with same strain to keep it semi-consistent

I say semi- due to Silver Skunk seeds being Bx1

But will pop enough to get the Mexican ladies

That's been a hot seller

The BB Cheesecake (small yield) I kept for myself

Any pics of the cheesecake yield?

So I'm watching Greengene's Garden grow video update

when it dawns on me (in fairness, I have been preoccupied with a head cold for 5 days), but none of you suggested it...

Why not move the plant under the SPYDR?

Be interesting to see what it can do at this late stage

so here are pics

Also, pics of BMM tiny root mass. Yes they're all dried out now, but it is obvious the root mass was small compared to the plant

Evidence of how efficient my High Performance Rez + Magnets + Flooming is

Anything in DWC will have small roots because the plant stops making roots almost as soon as it gets into the res since it doesn't need to keep growing more roots to find food/water XD

Yoda- scroll back to weight results for pics

As to roots being small in dwc, I have seen plenty of pics of massive dwc roots shown several grow forums

BML SPYDR 600 this plant (BBCC) was half the size of the bigger plant (Big Mex) that I harvested 2+ months ago (first time using the S600)

Due to the size of the larger plant blocking some of the light (and being > 1ft taller) this one did not get as many umoles to the canopy, and so did not reach her full pheno potential

As you can see, she is loaded with branches and bud sites now

Bumped nutes from ~ 650> ~ 850 2 days ago

Buds are setting up nicely

On April 10 (post #65) I hooked up the SPYDR 600

At that moment, I had 2 plants @ 2 weeks of 12/12, so timing was pretty good

I intend(ed) to do a complete grow from seedlings under it but have changed my mind now that I see how much it causes my reveg to stretch

When configuring one S600 for both veg and flower, you might recall I asked BML to have o/o switches for 2 bars, which would both be ~ 580- 650, the other 4 bars (4000-6500). This was not doable, so we proceeded with all 6 bar having the identical spectrum blend (~ 5% 450 + 6500 + 5000 + 3000 + ~ 5& @ 625

When I received the S600 I was not using a conventional tent and had lots of height to play with

Now I have a 6ft and 7ft tent. The S600 reveg is in the 7ft tent

I am revegging one of the 2 plants that flowered under the S600

PICS

8/9: Before putting under the S600

9/24 Note how much the main stalk stretched (12" before the branching), even though light was kept within ~ 12-15". caused by to much red too soon
This is a waste of height (most growers do not have that luxury in their tents),

This would not happen if I could control when to add the EXTRA reds, which I would only add at this stage of budding

So, yes one SPYDR 600 light works, but....
The ideal mj light allows the grower to add red (600-650) AFTER buds set to minimize red spectrum stretch

I am testing a couple panels from a new comer Amare Technologies Solar Spec panels come standard with separate o/o switches and can be piggybacked electrically

See my DIY Mini-Me F & D thread to see the SS 100 in action vegging seedlings and clones

Why do you go by moon phases indoor?

IMO the plants can tell even though indoors

Probably not critical, but...
You reminded me about this a while back, used to use the moon cycles outdoor but hadn't paid attention indoor. Could be just coincidence but I've been noticing that if I germ seeds around the full moon cycle they pop like 100% of the time. Just happened, threw 3x DIY seeds into paper towels to germinate 2 days ago, planted all 3 this morning, nice long/thick tails, full moon was yesterday. idk if it is the moon but...

everyone I give it to loves it because they can still work while enjoying it

Others, who want to dial 100% down prefer the Mexican pheno

well, according to moon cycle planting, one plants seeds on a rising moon (pulling at the earth) and harvests on a waning moon (less energy/pull)

Yeah, it just happened that timing was right so tried it the last three full moons and got great germ rates, who knows, so many factors/variables, but I'll try it again and see if I can keep that streak going ;)
