Dude, take the weed with you. better yet, mail it. my buddies mail that shit cross country, i dont know how they get away with it but they do. test it out, mail a little dime bag to your job or something, see if it gets there, if it does, mail the rest of ur shit to where ever it is ur going. other wise im not sure what ur looking for...a map?

Your in a new territory, you gotta feel it out. I have done it, and I am sure alot of people here has moved to different areas and did not know anyone either. You just gotta get settled in and meet people.
As far as asking here, its ballsy. Not only may other people think you are a cop...I wouldnt ask for something like this because I am not so sure the person here is not a cop and setting me up. That question here can go both ways. Its just something I would feel better about scouting out myself. It very well could be the best move, even though I may have to go a few months with out it until I found a contact. No big deal really. I had to go without for four years while in the military. Again, not that big of a deal.
Just go out and meet people its the safest route. People here do not trust you and you should not trust the people here either. Its just common sense man.

Fairfield county, in your case I would get off I-95 at exit 7(Stamford) and talk to the minorities lying around the streets next to the liquor stores and you will find yourself some bomb grade-A butch weed.

Actually, I don't understand why people can't hook up here if they are in the same area. There are ways to hook up and be totally safe about it. How about these steps. You get to know someone through private messages here. You don't give your address, you meet somewhere. Are you telling me a cop is going to waste a month of his time, only to meet someone and try to buy a half a quarter of pot? You could talk through email and such for weeks to get to know someone. Also, you agree to burn some when you first meet, maybe take a half a joint to the meeting and both get a buzz. A cop is not allowed to get high with you, so the first meeting you take a couple hits each. That clears you both right there. Come on guys, there are plenty of ways to be safe.
I live in Tennessee and my contact hasn't had any in weeks. In fact, I think he may be sick because he's an older guy. I have been without any for 3 weeks now or better. I am actually smoking the tar cleaned out of my pipe. I am desperate for some. I live in a rural county, no drug areas to hang out at and find some, and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that anyway. What bums me out is that by allowing ourselves to be intimidated like this, we let the cops win a big battle against us. Every town should have cannabis clubs, where folks can meet, trade secrets, trade buds, stuff like that. No way is a cop going to waste his time chatting with someone for a month and then drive to meet them and they only have a bowl full of pot to bust. Come on, that's completely unrealistic. Yeah, I can just see the DEA sitting in there offices just excited about busting me and my four little plants, or bustin g me trying to smoke a bowl with an agent, I bet it would even be on the news, eh? (I'm being sarcastic).
The point is, I am desperate to get to know someone within say, an hour drive that I could become friends with, buy some bud every now and then, maybe turn him on to some too once my plants give back. If we let the cops stop us from hooking up, THEN THEY WIN A HUGE BATTLE AGAINST US AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE TO DO ANYTHING!! Two people could easily play it totally safe. You don't have to take a frickin pound to meet someone. What about two growers who simply grow 4 or 5 plants in a frickin closet hooking up to share with each other, take only a bowl full the first time and get a buzz together and chat. You telling me a cop is going to waste his time (his boss wouldn't let him) chatting with someone for possibly weeks in order to bust him for a bowl of weed, or cultivate a relationship so he can bust four plants in Veg? Come on, that's simply not going to happen. It hurts that we who love good bud cannot find some way to hook up because most of us are too paranoid about this. This allows the cops a huge victory over us and what we love.
Reading some of the silly reactions here is a real bummer. To the original poster, if I were in your area and I had some, I would be glad to meet you somewhere. I would bring a bowl only, and we would get a buzz together. Your opinion counts as much as anyone's. Really, I am in a mood today. I am pacing back & forth talking to myself. The stupidity of a law that says I, a 45 year old grown adult, can't grow certain natural plants in the privacy of my own home is mid boggling. My god, I am a single dad of two. I am a musician for a living, and it's a rough road, but worth it. I have been smoking pot since I was a teen. Pot does not destroy anyone's life. I have a 16 year old son, and a 12 year old daughter. I have raised them by myself for 7 years now. I have done a good job with them. My son has a job at McDonalds, and he's on the high school football team. He doesn't smoke or do anything wrong. he gets good grades. My daughter is the best little girl. I never smoke around them, they don't even know I do it, though my son probably suspects it.
The point is, I am a good dad and I have done a fine job of raising them. I am no criminal, yet the society says I am because I have 4 plants growing in my closet for god's sake. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Pot actually saves me money, because I am not out drinking in bars, driving drunk, blowing a bunch of money on other things. My enjoyment is to burn some and watch a movie, or practice my music. It is mind blowing that grown adult can't grow a certain plant in the privacy of his own home. It's beyond dumb. I get so pi$$ed thinking about it. I am a good person and have done the right thing by my children.
I wish to god pot smokers would have a million man march on washington, and everyone light up at the same time. Tell the authorities, " hey come arrest a 100 thousand of us you idiots. The stupidity of it is incredible. If they would make it legal, imagine the tax dollars the country could get from it. Imagine the money saved no going after the growers. imagine the devastating effect on the big suppliers in other countries and the money the country would save not having to fight them. people would have no need for buying from across the border, because we could grow all we need here, and the government could tax it and make HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in tax money that could be spent on our schools or something like that.
Pot doesn't ruin lives, that's the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Any life that is ruined by pot was already ruined before they ever smoked. It hurts that after decades of smokers in this country, we all still have to hide under the darn table. Smokerts need to start fighting back, march on Washington. stand up and logically point out how utterly stupid it is to tell grown adults that they can't grow certain plants in the privacy of their own home. How they can't go to a friends and buy a couple of buds because society might crumble. It's got to be the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Folks, pot smokers need to unite, get together and fight this ignorance and stupidity. Hell, i wish a cop would come to this site and out argue us. Show us in a logical debate how the few plants you have in the privacy of your own home are a sever detriment to society. Truth is the best way to convince someone, isn't it? All they have to do is make a rational argument on how it's the right thing to do to spend millions of tax payer dollars to hunt down those darn folks who grow a natural plant in the prvacy of their own home. The cops don't come here and do it because they have no argument, that's why. They are the ones who should be ashamed of such stupidity, not us smokers. For god's sake, we are adult human beings, we are not low-life criminals who hurt people. i am a good person and a good dad. I have to sit here and do without one of my favorite past times because of this ignorance. We are not allowed to hook up with each other and share our small crop, to meet each other and make friends. It drives me out of my mind that this stupidity is forced on us like this. Unless you're an anarchist, I don't think its worth dreaming of such a world with a million joint march, it will cause you perpetual frustration. Everyone feel's the same way you do who smokes, just say you're venting out in your posts.
BTW: Guitarantula - what instrument/music do you play? I am a musician myself (guitar/bass) and I really think it's true that a good smoke can inspire some great jam sessions/songs.
I think the best thing to do is to continue what we've done (we're not in jail so we're doing something right) ...
