It's the same thing. In order to produce a newsletter you need subscribers and advertisers to pay for things like creating, printing and mailing. The key word here is pay.
A newspaper is just a bigger newsletter.

I already explained it wouldn't work because of privacy issues anyways, I for one would like an patient only for patients by patients newsletter. I do receive another newsletter about 4 times a year from another govt agency, on newsprint that explains different programs and things that are out there to help ya, ......informative.

no - just a sad commentary on the realities of today's world. I had to pay this month's bill for mailed out subscriptions at the post office this morning. It's more than a month's salary for the junior reporter I would love to hire, but don't have any room in the budget.
