MMM Card holder traffics pot in college while in Ohio

BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Three Bowling Green State University students are in custody after BG Police seized several drugs, and about $8,000 in cash on Friday.

A picture of the stash found by police shows the cash, marijuana, prescription pills, a handgun, and edibles (marijuana-laced food items).

"It may be legal in other states, but it's still illegal in Ohio, and we want to emphasize the fact that just because someone has a Michigan medical marijuana ID card, that doesn't mean they can bring that down here and traffic that stuff," said BGPD Major Tony Hetrick.

Anthony Vardon, Gabriel Jones, and Christopher Romito were arrested Friday night after an ongoing investigation.

$8,000 cash, what did they think, nobody would care and not squeal on them. What idiots, now they be going to jail likely...I could see sharing some bud with your buddies while you medicate but people like them give all the MMM people a bum rap, IMO.

$8,000 to me means they went way overboard. I mean come on, what did they think would happen ? College just started last month, did they thing they were going to clear $8000 a month until the school year ended ?

How dumb can one get, I thought college kids got good grades back in HS or they don't get into college ?

I also went to college for 2 years, it was long ago but I knew better then sell lots of stuff, Once some gal asked me to hook her up with Q pound, it was $400 and I thought she was crazy but she like demanded it, so I helped hook her up with it......everything seem fine and she double her money in no time but like a month after that, she got kicked out of school for bad grades...and it was all my fault i heard from the grapevine, her roommates informed me that she hated me, lol and they didn't feel it was right because I totally left them alone all of the time and I did tell her she was crazy for having a Q pound in her dorm room. i wanted to hold on to it off campus but she didn't trust me not to smoke any of it, ha ha)


Then you have the fact they had a handgun...thats beyond crazy, having a gun on campus

Sorry, I might be all for legal weed but those guys deserve to go to jail, IMO

I have mixed feelings over people like this.

On the one hand I don't feel that anyone deserves to be sitting in jail over a fucking plant. On the other hand I can't stand it when people use the medical marijuana program as cover for profiteering. If you wanna grow hundreds of pounds of weed and sell it knock yourself out...... but don't hide behind sick people that truly need this medicine.

and edibles (marijuana-laced food items). <--- that alone is now a felony in Ohio, the tea baggers got elected and did the opposite of what they promised, to get the government out of our lives.. they have them so deep up our butts now.. but I was researching and I see butter or glycerin infused with medicine is also Illegal in Michigan also? You have to make brownies with ground up pot, gritty and hard to regulate dosage. but just another excuse to arrest a citizen for not wanting the opiates the corporates try to shove down our throats.

Thats very true however this abusing the system. They are trying to get rich fast.

Another site said over 1 1/2 pounds of weed was seized, along with $8,200 in cash and the stuff was coming in from Michigan and was sold to be used by MMM card holders.

(i wonder how deep the cops are going to investigate, like are they going to try to find out where they were buying in Michigan and start trying to say the seller knew it was too much weed to be used by the card holder who was buying it ??)

That might be pushing it but cops today, ugh

I'm glad I'm not involved in this mess, lol
