Mmm Gravity Bongs!

I haven't hit one in years... just made one real quick this morning thanks to stoned poneys video for reminding me about these wonderfully easy things to make.

I just popped my glass bong bowl in the cap of the soda bottle did the same setup as stoned poney, one rip and I"m already feelin it!.


so who wants to make a gravity bong(or bust out one you already made/own) and blaze w/ me?

I just used a normal 2 liter soda bottle...works perfect!

4 rips and I"m fuckin stoned, gonna go shovel some clay for garden prep.

i hardly use anything else and havent for a decade.

15l bucket and 2l sodabottle. ice when i have some :D

best kick with the smoothest smoke (apart from waterpipes (hookas)that have a smoother smoke but lesser kick and they are always problematic for me)

do u make holes in the buttom or do cute it off ?? We did these all the time when i was a teen, holes work better, water drains slower so it pulls in way more smoke!!!

I didn't build a perc on mine so its not smooth but it does have the best kick!


I cut a hole in the bottom. I really like the kick of it honestly. I thought about the holes method but I didn't feel like replacing the water every time.

u just submerge the bottle in a bigger container of water, it fills back up very quickly, but buckets or gravity bongs are alot easier, fuck now i want to make one to! ok i'll make a mini

yeah you can cut off the top of a 2l bottle, then the bottom off a 1l bottle and stuff that in the bigger one filled with water.

what i like about the cut off bottom is the quick and easy kick. voila all gone into your lungs.

nice I'll do that next time I feel like making another one, for now I'm refilling the one I made :)

I'll break out mine and make a video.

The way I do G-Bongs is to use a downstem inside of the bottle. It is convenient that a 12 gauge (I don't think it is 18) glass on glass downstem fits PERFECTLY in the top of a 2 liter.

So then I just pop the top bowl on there and pull through. The smoke travels down the stem so that it actually has to percolate up through the water first. Most people's gravity "bongs" are more like gravity pipes. I think to qualify as a full blown bong you need to utilize the water to cool the smoke.

When I get everything set up (I think I need to run to the store for a bottle, I don't drink soda) I'll post that video once I'm high as shit.

I want to attatch a longer tube to my glass down tube I just don't know where anything good that will work is atm.

but I must also say... it does get me higher when it's not perculated through water hit per hit. may be harsher but man does it kick harder....and I"m not jsut associating harshness with high... I literally get higher hit per hit when it's not perculated. (but I love perculation trust me, its just decieving to your tolerance.)

i approve of this thread. i was just about to fill my laundry sink and make one when i saw this. i've been sifting the shit out of my stash lately to make kief and the only way to get high off what's left of the herb is to use a grav. i actually have 3 ready to go bottle caps that i keep around just for this. just a matter of swapping out the foil. i only use 2 or 3 liter soda bottles now. i do have one that i made out of an orville reddenbacher's 2 lb popcorn bottle. i figured the bigger mouth would fare well. i was wrong fyi. stick to soda bottles, folks.

edit: just to clarify, i use the vaccuum version of the grav and not the waterfall. it's quicker that way. you can fill the bottle in .00567 seconds.

I finally got down to the store to get my bottle.

I agree that non-percolated hits do get me a bit higher, but the trade off for me is a kind of slimy funk that builds up in my mouth (and likely in my lungs) that winds up kind of ruining the experience for me. Call me a "fair weather" smoker but I'll do another less harsh, less "funky," hit. Cool with me :)

This is definitely the way I use when I need to get outrageously stoned fast.

shit.....I just put a new bottle in yesterday for a friend over here...........I just illed up with water and ice in my outside jug and hitting it with my 3ltr bottle..............everyone seen my video on Youtube of me hitting boung so you know Im fixing to get knocked on my ass hahahahhahahhahhah look up lancelot250 if you havent seen video ok off to hit that fucker
