Thats just 4 plants under a 600 watt right?? Damn good,, i grow 25 plants in a sog under a400 and a600 with 4'flouros underneith. Your 4 plants will probably yeild as much as 10 of my plants and mine are 3 and1/2 feet tall, but i only veg the clones for 1 week before flowering.. How many weeks did you veg these beauties?? And how many times did you top them to get so many tops?? or did you supercrop them??? Either way they look great, your doing very well!!!
 
I thought mainlining requiered string or wires above the plants to wieve the branches in. ive never done maimlining only sog and scrog,, but i have topped plants and some supercropping,, i have found some strains dont supercrop well if they have very hollow stems..
 
Yes 4 plants under a 600w Philips Son-T Plus hps . More than 4 weeks from small cutting but they didn't veg under a 600w mh the whole time, these had an interrupted veg because I don't have separate veg and bloom areas currently so they would spend 12 hours under hps with the flowering girls and then the rest of the day under small cfls, so not ideal at all. But they got there in the end. The mainlining by "Nugbuckets" is described here http://www.growweedeasy.com/mainlining-nugbuckets :)and the supports aren't necessary especially on the 32 site mainline where the weight is more well distributed . mine are heavy now though so I have done some supporting with garden wire. Also thanks for your (and everyone elses) comments I appreciate them

Thanks for the link, i read it, wow that is really fn cool.. i guess its only for plants in soil,,, i want to try it in a dwc bucket as i grow indoors hydro.. i hope it works.. can you give me a guestimate time in veg if i start with a clone?? ill definatly go with 8 tops before trying anything more.. that is realy cool as ive never seen it done that way before, again thank you now i have some work to do!!!
 
letsgetcritical this must not be your first time doing mainlining, for a first timer i wonder if certain strains will respond better than others as i said ive noticed for instance nirvanas northern lights is very stretchy with hollow stems, would it be hard to get it right with a plant with willy stems?? i mean they harden but not new shoots, very willy easy to break when trying to supercrop they get strong but not as quickly as other more indica dom strains.
 
Not sure about the stems but certainly some strains respond better to the technique. My Hawaiin Skunk Haze is much more uniform than the Critical Haze. My second grow was two mainlined to 8 Critical Kush/hempy/600w from clone that unfortunately the police got not long after this pic @ 3-4 wks flowering

And then I had two C99 Xline 32 mainline outdoor from seed(pics gone on old riu), so this is my 3rd mainline grow and 4th grow total.
According to Nugbuckets
"Some strains are better suited than others for the main-lining method. The best strains for main-lining display "single cola dominance," which means that it tends to grow in the class "Christmas tree" shape of Indicas, Afghani strains, Kushes, etc.
Sativa dominant strains often do not grow in this shape, and tend to have lots of secondary branches naturally spring up. Clones also tend not display the same level of single cola dominance as plants grown directly from seeds. With that being said, main-lining can be used with all strains and even clones to optimize the nutrient distribution from the roots and create more balanced plants."

you can do mainlining without the supercropping (pinching) or tying down its just a method of topping to get evenly sized buds of a single node. And you can do in hempy(like mine)/dwc/soil/whatever. Clones will need a few weeks veg to create the 8 tops that comprise a few nodes each for bud length (like above pic) , how long you veg after that's up to you depends on how much yield you want I guess.
