Mohican's 2018 Season

I wish I could find a local with a portable saw mill to come out and shave some slabs from that trunk.

I saw some videos on Facebook that showed a chainsaw rig you can use to shave of nice slabs.

i believe they call that the alaskan portable mill!
 
Picked up a new chainsaw yesterday:

We have had a string of three sunny days in a row! Unfortunately I forgot to water the stran and he (yes he) was heavily wilted. I poured one of the five gallon buckets of rain water on him and he is looking much better this morning.

Getting pics of the tree stump and the stray.

I will use them to start my 2019 season thread.
