Moister problem

i agree with sticky bob theve been waterlogged for almost 2 weeks now but the soil deffinatly isnt bad, nutes i should deff hold on till i get this drainage problem fixed, but i might have to go with sticky on this one and try and change the soil now before root rot occures i think its prob worth the risk and even if the roots are exposed to oxygen when i more them isnt that a good thing i have a dwc thats running perfectly and i heard its good to give the roots a breath of fresh air every now and again the onlything i have to worrie about is the roots ripping or tearing in the transplant right?

Yeah I have been looking at the pics and thinking about it and there really is no other way. Root rot is way worse than stressing them out a bit. I would probably even go so far as to change as much as you can of the soil without screwing with the root zone too much. I dont believ there is gonna be much of any root ball yet as compare to a five gallon container. I feel bad for ya cuz when I started growing I knew pretty much zero other than the basics of growing any plant and have never run into any problem worse than under watering and some guys get hit pretty hard right off. It sucks but it looks like you are on a good solution. Good luck. Oh maybe for your first watering or 2 go with 2 Tbs. per gallon of peroxide to help with any rot that may already be there.

fill a bucket and gently tease the roots underwater washing off excess soil, safest way, comes off pretty easy, especially the size they are

That is funny you say that cuz I went from soil to hydro once and used Superthrive in my rinse but never adjusted pH. What do you reccomend? 6.0?

superthrive is good shit, ph6 thereabouts, my water is ph7.5 most of the time, so i reduce it just as a precaution, maybe it makes no difference at all! All my cuts come in peat pots and soil so i have to do this all the time for my tray - ball ache!

here is an update the one that looks the worst has the biggest root system long almost 10 inch root the others are still small maybe about an inch or so i couldnt tell if there as any root rot im also including pictures of my grow room to see if you find any probelms the temp likes to fluctuate so i hope that doesnt harm the plants:-(

i used hydraton because they didnt have perlite at the hydrostore the guy said it would do the sae thing so i hope hes right water ph is 6.2 soil is the same

the soil when i was taking it out was very very wet and squished together
so when i replaced i didnt bother to water
