Molasses

So I've been reading around about adding molasses to my water. It sounds like about 1tbsp/gallon of water. Maybe I'm over thinking it but how do you get it to mix in? Molasses is thick stuff! I use around 75-80 F water but should I heat the molasses first so it mixes in? Any help is appreciated.

Ps. How do you change the lines under your screen name?

If you are going to add 1 or more TBS/gal of Molasses, I wouldn't add it more than once every week. I only use 2 couple teaspoons at most. It is very thick and can build up fast if you don't have the microbes breaking it down. But ya, its sugar based and water soluble. Just shake it like a polaroid picture.

I mix it with hot water first, either from the tap, or I micro some. Dissolve it in 1 or 2 cups hot water and then add to your water jug. I use a 2 cup pyrex measuring cup and add the molasses to the hot water. Usually ~3tbl for a 5gal pail of water.

I do use molassess to feed mircobes in the soil twice or three in the flower cycle...i will have tap water gallon with open lid overnight then i ll add the 1 tablespoon of molassess and shake well then ill put in the closet...before you go sleep shake the jug again...then in the morning , ready to water your beloved plants...you will see the total dissolved molassess in the jug...of course shake well before water :)

I use mollases in every tea. If I make to much tea not to use it all in time when I start to see the froth go away I add more and everything comes back to life. I put more than a couple tablespoons more like one good pour. The bacteria eat it up; dump about a cup a day of tea on them of bat guano, SBG, the occasional WC, oatmeal, alfalfa rabbit pellets, cow manure, and seaweed. Plants love it!! Beware though it will make your stalks thick as hades!! If over done the guanos are very hot and can burn.

I never heat anything just add a bubble stone and wait a day sometimes two unless you use chlorinated water then it takes a few days before anything grows first it has to evaporate the chlorine.
