Get a sulfur burner/vaporizer. They use them in greenhouses to combat mold. You only need to treat twice in a plant's lifetime. The sulfur will leave a thin layer on leaves that really lowers the PH so mold can't grow.
As for moldy bud causing lung problems, BS.... The Federal Govt has done a study on primary and secondary smokes with tobacco that had acquired molds... none of the spores or toxins travel through the smoke. While I would not purposely smoke moldy bud, I would treat it. If the PM is bad and getting inside of the buds, do a water cure when you harvest. Do not try to dry them out. Fill a one gallon pitcher with wet/fresh bud and cover with luke warm water. Sit it in a dark place and lest rest for 24 hours. After 24 hours, pour water out and replace with fresh luke warm water. Repeat this for 6 days.
At the end, dry bud as normal, but maybe with some paper towels or a towel to catch initial dripping. The buds will dry rock hard, dark and highly smokeable, in 24-48 hours. I know this seems impossible, but it dries quicker after a water cure. A lot of toxins are washed away. The buzz level remains near the same. just do not use super hot or icy cold water. The trick is luke warm water. Do not cover first 2 days, to allow disolved toxins to evaporate.
You will lose a lil weight, however the resulting bud had no BS toxins or other crap from sprays, additives, etc. I used this method on dry bud that had PM appear overnight. It went from 6 oz in weight to about 3.5 oz.
Water curing does however, condense the weed. It also seems to make it stronger, buzz wize. Twice I have water cured and I enjoyed it better than it's counterpart.
