Hey folks,
Got what seems like a pretty serious problem with mold here. It's not on the leaves (yet), it's on the soil.
Indoor grow - 12 plants
Just started the bloom cycle, 3 days in now.
daily watering, 1 Gallon water with nutrients per day between 12 plants.
every third day is only water w/o nutrients
12h light/12h dark
growing in soil with perlite
Temp @ 70F on average
Humidity @ 60% on average
Went to water the plants today and noticed that a white mold had covered the top of the soil of one of the plants.
I scraped the mold and top soil off the plant and threw that soil/mold mix away.
I inspected the other 11 plants and there were 10 little dots of mold between 3 of the other plants, the other 8 plants look clean. The spots of mold were typically on the soil near the the edge of the top of each pot.
Also, during inspection, I noticed that there is mold growing at the holes at the bottom of the pots on at least 4 of the plants. I've attached pictures of the mold growing at the bottom of these pots.
I've turned the oscillating fan on HIGH to be sure there's enough circulation to help prevent any more mold. I'm not going to water the plants for a day or two to be sure they're not getting too much water. I'm going to remove the mold from the bottom of the pots.
Has anybody else had this happen? I'm wondering what else I should do. Any recommendations? Thanks!
