So like if the mold forms under a no oxygen environment then that means that there is beneficial bacteria in the soil then right?
No, beneficial microbes need oxygen to flourish. They could be present in a sealed container, but they won't out-compete anaerobic microbes. Once you introduce oxygen the aerobic bacteria will overcome the anaerobic microbes.
This is why Grease Monkey said to lay the soil out on a tarp and wet it down with an aerated compost tea (beneficial microbes).
