is there anything that can be done if i found mold on buds that i thought were ready to smoke??? help

Yeah, just remove the infested area asap. Apply some alcohol to the spot you removed it from. Feel sorry for you, budrot sucks big time.

thx man. its abou 7 grams that got infected. what shud i do next time? just store it in a canister? can i grind it up and just make some hash with it?

I have read that making BHO works well with moldy buds. I would try it if I had a lot of it. Good luck

well i will toss it if i have to but what is BHO?? dont mean to sound stupid just never heard of it.

Moldy weed can give you pneumonia. I've heard of people dying from smoking it. I personally would throw it out and cut your losses.

Once you've cured it properly it should be kept in a airtight container preferably in the dark like most other dry goods. I use glass jars for curing and storing.

got it. sadly to the trash it goes. but still wat is BHO?? i cure in glass canisters but my problem i think was bagging it. thx again!

Well here is another thread ill have to pay attention too. How is mold caused? Im guessing from the buds being in a very humid area too long? For example. could curing it in a jar with the lid on for too long cause mold?

i have to say i think it cud. the bud in question was in a ziplock and was from an earler4 harvest, so it had sat for a while. i am not sure of the humidity that was in the area that it was stored in. i have come to the conclusion(thax to riu members) that it is best stored in air tight containers in a cool dry dark are and opened to breathe 2-3 times daily. its all about moisture with no where to go.
