Ive been inspired by all the Monster grow posts, so Im doing my own.

LA Confidential Clone

55 gallon drum (cut off the top and bottom, drilled 1 1/2" holes in the side)

Chicken wire

1 part steer manure

2 part coarse yellow sand

2 parts Natural Garden soil

Bone Meal as needed

2 1/2 gallons of fish chum

Im wrapping the plastic drum in chicken wire to fend off gophers (hope it works). The drum is going to be 10" above ground and the rest below ground. I've drilled holes in the side for drainage and root growth. The fish will go at the bottom of the hole and the soil mixture will be added. I was going to use worms but i dont think i have anything in the soil that will keep them going. I tried to find bat guano today, but to no avail. So i bought all my supplies today, and I will be prepping the hole tomorrow, and filling it this weekend. wish me luck.

DO EVERY THING LIKE YOU SAID AND DO CUT BOTTOM OUT . I WOULD ADD ,DIG THE HOLE BIGGER THAN THAN THA DRUM WHERE THERE IS A 1 FT GAP ALL AROUND AND BOTTOM . BACK FILL WITH 2" ROCK , SAME SIZE THEY RUN FIELD LINES IN THAT DRAIN SEPTIC SYSTEMS . IT WILL ASSO LET THOSE ROOTS BREATH BETTER :hump:

I forgot to mention the rock. I have a bag of dime sized river rocks, and below them will be quarter sized quartz rock. I will def. be digging the hole bigger then the drum to loose the soil. Thanks for the help.

IF U ALREADY HAVE THOSE ROCKS COOL, IF U STILL NEED SOME I WOOD ,WITH RESPECT , GET THOSE 2''LIMESTONE ROCKS THEYERE BIGGER AND WONT PACK IN AS TIGHT ALLOWING SOME AIR IN NOT TO MENTION THEYLL SWEETEN THE GROUND WATER COMEING TO THE PLANT AFTER A RAIN . YOU COULD GO AS FAR AS SWIRLING THE INSIDE OF DRUM WITH COPPER IMPREGINATED PAINT TO STOP ANY KIND OF ROOT BOUND . :hump:

well my drum is in the ground, and I'm waiting a couple days to transfer the plant from my closet to the the earth. I'm not sure of the proper way to transfer from a closet on 24/7 light to the outside. The plants in my closet are in rockwool. Any pointers? Thanks.

It is in the ground, all the drum is for is gopher protection, its wrapped in chicken wire. I just want to know if i should give the plant im transplanting some extra nutes or super thrive or change the light cycles or or or all the things im not thinking of.
thanks.

slowly reduce it to what the natural light cycle is before you put it out, and sure give it a drop or two of super thrive, ;)

my clones are always happy outside.... its all about timing and spacing any major events throughout the lifespan of the plant.
