Montana Grow Natural Fertilizer and Side-by-Side TGA Comparison

Guess it is pretty apparent I'm a Montana Medical Grower. Just finished a test run of Pre-98 Bubba X Querkle (thanks very much Sub, you're da' man!). Check out the thread.

Simply wanted to know if anybody was interest in following a side-by-side comparison of a couple of Plushberry I just sprouted. I have been using a local Montana product with good success. It is called Montana Grow, and organic plant nutrient composed of 2.25% Soluble Silicon derived from mined Volcanic Tuff. Technical sheet are available at montanagrow.com.

you mean a side by side vs supersoil? go for it

No, I was simply going to add Montana Grow to an existing supersoil mix. On second thought, there may be some variation between plants since Plushberry will be grown from seed. It may be a more valid comparison if I use a variety that is a clone. I think I'll take two "identical" clones this week and conduct the experiment with 4 plants, two grown with my normal method and two supplemented with Montana Grow.

OK. I've selected Kish (originally Shishkaberry) for the test. I have four small clones I'll grow 4 plants under identical conditions, and use the Montana Grow product on 2 and keep 2 as the control plants. This is a fast flowering variety and has been harvested in as low as 42 days of 12/12. We grew out 10 seeds a couple of seasons ago and this is the one select cutting that has been producing consistent results. Seeds came from from Cash Crop Ken, but I think Breeder Steve was the originator. As soon as the clones take hold, I'll start snapping photos.

I have attached photos of the test I proposed. Four Kish, as identical as possible, two are treated with Montana Grow Si Supplement, two others treated exactly the same without the additive. When transplanted into the one gallon rootmaker pots, 1/4 teaspoon of Si was added to the coco/perlite mix, and then top dressed with another 1/4 teaspoon in the two Si test plants. Looking forward to this, as it is my first side-by-side with only one variable. Let's get growing!
