I got 5 plants outside 3 of the 5 are only getting 5 hr direct sunlight and the rest are in the sun all day but have way less bud growth then the 3 in the shade how is that, the plants are eating the same and are healthy

Same strains? Having less direct light could have started the others early but I'm just guessing
They started at the same time, may just b heat stress I did not think of that the ones getting 5r of direct are in the shade when the hottest part of the day comes around

I use the shade of my house as natural light deprecation. I notice this effect on plants that are shaded earlier in the day than those that continue to get sun later in the day. I move my plants around until I hit the sweet spot.

I have some Cantaloupe that is shaded early vs late sun Cantaloupe; time difference of about 3 hrs and 2 weeks flower time. Shaded plants taking the lead. Doing this gives me a chance to test smoke to get the later plants perfect.

As far as faster or better bud development is concerned I don't know. I do know that the plant I have been blooming has better bud growth under 1k vs 2k lights.

I love to experiment, so I will try to figure out a test and a way to quantify the results. The plant is very, very easy to manipulate; to me that is what is so cool.

The shadow from my house straight line on the left. It moves straight across left to right as the day progresses.

Looks like u r going to have ur hands full wish my back years looked like thAt I'm going to put up a privacy fence then ask the people that rent the house next door if I can cut a tree down that is growing on the property line so that I can put the fence up,, it blocks a good 4 hr of morning sun

The ones with less light are maturing faster. You can do the same indoors by cutting the hours back, although yield suffers.
I planted same spot last year and the year be 4 and they did not mature any faster, they finished the same time as the others but was some what smaller not much
