More Lights Vs Light Mover

I have more lights than I need (don't ask.) Rather than purchase a light mover, can I set the timers so that the lights turn on/off sequentially to get the same effect that a light mover would create? Is there a plus/minus to doing it this way vs a light mover?

Not that I can see after running it through some calculations.

Just run your lights at a normal cycle. What you propose is IMHO too much effort.

400w is 400w.... by you moving around a 42w bulb around to 10 different spots, thats not the same as having 400w on your plant... don't know if this is what you meant
