Some data from the Malawi growThank you.
I sure will, thank you. I have Malawi Fem seeds from Ace as well as Golden Tiger Fem. I've been wanting to give them a try but haven't been able to make time yet. Some data from the Malawi grow
1. They were feminized not regs
2. I grow in soil
3. They appear to need 7 weeks of veg
I flipped several at 4 weeks BUT at the same time as the others. The 4 week vegged plants were slow to flower and they just didn’t mature like the older ones.
4. Per seed bank in the description it says 10-12 weeks flower but it also says 15 weeks to flower..... IDK?
5. I pulled a plant really early and it still had a very good uplifting long lasting hig.

Weed taxonomy makes my head hurt. I like to try and look at country of origin for stuff...like "oh that's mostly Columbian based" though this is kinda pointless for most current varieties.I think some people just prefer the intense immediate narcotic effect of a good indica strain and not the psychedelic more energetic effects of a sativa strain. Which I should start referring to as NLD Indica. Different people have different physiology which will make different people react differently. Some really enjoy the effects while others it doesn't tickle their fancy.
Different strokes for different folks.
I like it all. Some at different times than others. Given a choice though I would always choose a sativa/NLD if I had to make a choice.

You can't go by names anymore. Most strains that were once sativa dominant have been bred for shorter flowering times. Most of the Jack Herer or Green Crack these days are more indica dominant because they have been bred for the shorter flowering times most growers look for. Some may have started out with original genetics at one time but have since bred them for shorter flowering times using additional additions of short flowering Indicas. That's been the standard practice for years. Some breeders just use the names for the recreations they make and have nothing to do with the original genetics.Weed taxonomy makes my head hurt. Jack H is one I always found really interesting. Tried some in Amsterdam many years back and it was definitely way over on the sativa side and just freaking awesome. Haven't had a jack that was similar since. Maybe Jack was just a common label for mystery weed? Reports are all over the spectrum.
Had a similar experience with green crack. Picked up a bag and it was incredible...subsequent green crack plants not so much.
Go with the Golden Tiger, the heterosis is noticeable, I'll join you growing the gt too, I plan on breeding with the best males I find.I sure will, thank you. I have Malawi Fem seeds from Ace as well as Golden Tiger Fem. I've been wanting to give them a try but haven't been able to make time yet.

Have you done much work with Golden Tiger? Any opinions on whether a GT pollenating *something* is better than *something* pollenating a GT?Go with the Golden Tiger, the heterosis is noticeable, I'll join you growing the gt too, I plan on breeding with the best males I find.
Some phenotypes won't produce viable pollen when reversed, the more alligator leaf thai dominant varieties had this issue where they didn't make selfed seeds.Have you done much work with Golden Tiger? Any opinions on whether a GT pollenating *something* is better than *something* pollenating a GT?
Looks very different from the ace seeds version, are you getting any mango/carrot terpenes? Any tropical spice? The longer I cured the malawi the more potent it got, it really benefits from a long cure.
I just want to say that I like racy weed.Jack Herer is racy imo
Yeah man I agree, I bet it does get better after a long cool cure. As you can see only one plant stretched. The others stayed a bit shorter and stacked nicely. I think a couple of them could have been spread out to fill 2x2 easily. I would’ve instantly done another run of them if I’d had seeds.Looks very different from the ace seeds version, are you getting any mango/carrot terpenes? Any tropical spice? Might sound weird what with Exotic Genetix labeling them as indica but there's a pheno of Citrus Berry going around here that's super peppery for some reason. Not my grow, tho. That black pepper Jack is what I kinda look for. I know I get that taste from Black Skull Jack. Want more potency, though. That's just me. And from a friend indoor grown House of the Great Gardner. Where else did you get that pepper taste?
Throw one in the back for two grows while you run other stuff two cycles. You will be very happy. Just bend it over if you need toI sure will, thank you. I have Malawi Fem seeds from Ace as well as Golden Tiger Fem. I've been wanting to give them a try but haven't been able to make time yet.
