Mother-in-law plant for co2 production?

hi

recently i heard about some plants than does reverse photosynthesis
mother-in-law plant, areca palm and money plant.

these plants known as bedroom plants because they give oxygen at night and co2 by day and also has air purifying qualities.

and i thought what if i use them in my indoor garden.
normally i use sugar and yeast to produce co2 but since its chemosyntesis it continiues to give co2 when lights out.

so has anyone tried theese plants ?

Sounds like an interesting and out-of-the-box idea. But I can think of a few reasons not to. Different plants may require different room temps and such. It would take up room and light too.

Are they readily available? You going to try it?

i have a small mother-in-laws tangue (a.k.a snake plant) i dont think one would be enough but since its a hard to kill plant and mostly competibla with my indoor setup i think i am gonna give it a try but i'll try as soon as i can.

And since you're a pot grower...you're probably experienced at rooting cuttings. So clone the Snake plant and soon you'll have all of them you need. Good luck...seriously. I hope it helps.

it's an interesting idea, but i think you'd need several to boost the co2 significantly. get back to us in a month or two and let us know if it seems to make a difference

I don't know about that.... what I do know is mother in law's tongue can be used by drying the roots and taking about a fingernail's worth before bed.
It leads to interesting dreams, and also compresses sleep, a few hours worth of the white center.feels like a long sleep.

that's the way i'll try. i guess ill need 7-8 plants with at least 10 long leaves but it will take more than a month for me to grow them. and i think i ll need to buy an co2 level detector too to get real results and its kinda expensive.

but i'll let you guys know the result.
