Mother Plants

Any female can become a mother plant, no matter how old. She can be grown from seed or be a clone of a clone. The important thing to remember when taking clones from a mother is never to let the mother bloom and then revert back to vegetative growth. Clones taken from a rejuvenated female tend to be less potent and weaker.
Several mother plants that are always kept in vegetative stage are a good source of cloning stock. Strong mothers produce strong healthy clones. Start new mothers from seed every year. Clones have a better chance of being strong and healthy when mothers are not stressed.

Mother plants must have at least eighteen hour days to retain a strong and accurate set of genetic characteristics. Each time a mother is forced from vegetative growth to flowering and back again, her genetic integrity diminishes. An easy analogy would be to make a photocopy of an original page and then photocopy the photocopy. The original is always more clear. By the time the photocopy is photocopied twice in a row, it is a totally different document. (I hope that makes sense) Degradation takes place over years through stress and through the stress of flowing and rejuvenation, which causes plants to loose their integrity. Mothers that are forced to flower and revert back to vegetative growth, not only yield less, they are stressed and confused.

..I’m growing my mother plant (in soil) from a seed and plan to keep it in one of them small grow tents. But how do I stop it from growing to tall, and do i give it same nutrients as my other vegitaing plants? also, where’s the best place to take cuttings from and at what stage?

I guess I have messed up. All my mothers are from clones. I live down in texas so I have been real nervous to buy seeds. So far I thought I have had good luck with my plants. And have had the same moms for about 2.5 years. I dont really notice anything weaker about them. They still make some good product. The clones that is. I have never budded the moms.

About 5-6 regular smokers have told me that I had the best smoke they have ever smoked in their life. I got one guy to throw up and two people have fallen down from a head rush. lol.

Anyways is it pretty safe to order seeds? If I can make my strands stronger I would deffenetly do it. Any advice? Like maybe stressing a mom to make a male?

I would think money orders and someone elses address. I dont know but it sounds like a good idea to me.

When i said "super stealthy"i didnt only mean that they ship the seeds in blank packeges.Some seed banks are verry careful of how they get the information necesary to mail you their seeds and how they mail them.

yea i've got seeds(m39) from out side the conutry and i got them with no problem in a plan brown box and months later im still not in jail lol

I agree with conoclast. The genetics are not going to change. Plant DNA does not change over time.

he is saying how some people clone their mother then flower it with the clones then revert it back to veg state. THIS is what is hard on the mother.

How can you grow a mother from seed? To find out if it's a girl surly you have to put it into flower, by them the damage is done.
Do you sex clones from the mothers to identify sex?

My Mothers have always been clones. They seem okay.

Flower its clones, if the clones are male ditch the "father" they came from and its clones.

yeah or most plants will show balls if its a male. PREFLOWERS BABYYYY
