Hi everyone...I've been growing indoors for about 15 years now but I'm new to this forum. I tried to find a thread related to my question but I couldn't find anything recent so I decided to start a new one.
My question, or problem, has to do with my mother plants losing their vigor too quickly. I'm currently using a ebb&grow system with 24 pots in my flowering room under four 600w hps and another 24 pots in my veg room under two 1000w mh. My mothers have their own corner of my veg room and are kept in 5 gallon dirt containers under a 400w mh.
I received a clone from a very potent and hight yeilding NLxBB years ago and I used that mother to supply my garden with healthy plants for several years. I eventually lost that strain when I was forced to shut down for a while due to my company sending me out of state to work. Since then I've been through dozens of strains and mothers because they just don't seem to maintain their vigor for very long. After about six or eight months I notice that clones take longer to root, my veg cycle takes longer because of slower growth, harvest weights begin to fall off, plus the smell and potency aren't what they were with the first couple crops of clones. Their overall health seems to fall off even though my mothers show no serious symptoms that need to be addressed.
I believe that part of the problem stems from starting with femenized seeds so I've recently started purchasing regular seeds again to test this theory. Have any of you experienced similar problems and does anyone have any suggestions that might help me here?
I use FoxFarm soils and I've used a variety of different nutrient programs with little difference in the results between any of them. Maybe you know of a specific feeding program that might help me out? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
