Mother too big

My mother plant is getting really fucking tall. A lot of the bottom died off due to forgetting to water for a few days. I ended up cutting all those branches away. Hoping the bottom will grow eventually. Was a lot of dead branches and dried up leaves at the bottom. The bottom is taking forever to regrow, have not had new regrowth in a while. I also cant remember the last time I fed veg nutes. I am guessing that may have something to do with it.

In any event, my plant is growing way too big and is reaching my MH at the highest level and the tops are getting burned. How can I shrink this plant? Can I legit just top the crap out of her very low so that she grows from a lower part? And if i do that, should I wait for some bottom growth to come back before topping her very low?

If you reveg a harvested plant you basically doing the same thing.

Just keeping the lowers. Cutting everything else down. They are sturdy bitches and will be fine if you do it to healthy plants.

You’re fine topping the hell out of it. Just target a few branches every couple days to reduce the stress. I did that with a couple plants that reach max height and i had a crazy amount of new shoots. I did it to level off my canopy aggressively due to lack of training in the first place.

Cut it way back, root the branches you cut off -> bam, new mother.

yeah was thinking about making a new mother. Just dont want to bring out the cloning machine. I havevegging two mother's for a bit. There a reason why bottom regrowth taking forever on my one mother
