mother too high

hi my mother plant has got too high for the small grow room and i dont have any other place to keep her i was wondering if i can cut the stem down some with out stressing her too much and if so how much can i cut off..? thanks...i have bin taken clones from her but not fast enough i guess

hell yeah its called topping its fine for the plant and it makes more branches grow. i use l,S,T for my mothers works great.

pic would help but generally with a mother plant your topping her often enough that she doesn't get too tall. Keep in mind how tall you want her to get and that she will need appropriate space for roots which may add to that. Just take some clones of her, and than chop the stem. Try not to remove a large percantage of the foliage like 30% is pushing it I think. She might be stressed out but will likely bounce back and keep some clones in veg to be your new mothers just in case.

lol I thought this thread was gunna be about some guys junkie mom, but since its not I think ill help a bit.. You can LST like sick stoner said Lst meaning low stress training.. Taking the top and bending it so the plant it shorter, be sure not to snap the stem while bending it.. Use something like yarn to tie it down with, don't see anyother way unless you got a bigger space

use one of the clones for a mother and bud that one out.

Who cares if mommy is stressed a little, it is her job to have some stress sometimes? Just chop the top of that bitch off and use it for clones, now you will have two tops.

judge by the plant and the space if you have 3 feet take her down 2 1/2 dont worry i chop my mothers down to nubs and they grow back in less then a month. or like others say chop it down and have a clone as a back up if anything happens to her. but don't be afraid of "stressing her" if shes a tough bitch she'll be fine.

No it didn't sound like your mom was big, it sounded like she was too high (stoned). I thought that is what you meant too, I came here for a great laugh..
