What kind of outdated ballasts are you people using?nobody mentioned?
2 @ 600w = 11 to 12 amp draw
1 @ 1000w = 9 to 10 amp draw
1 @ 600w = 5 to 6 amp draw (here's the only advantage i see)
i've run both. & nothing compares to a 1000y.
a 600y , while using less energy, is my back up.
and, whoever mentioned more shit to go wrong is 100% on point.
and, whoever noted a 600y outperforms a 1000y ...not even accurate.
one ballast vs two
one bulb vs two
1000y is gonna give better results at the cost of more electric & extra heat.
What are the sizes of your flower and veg rooms. Thats what's most important to decide what light is best. I'm not sure if you stated this yet or not but I didn't see it.Sorry wasn't saying it to be rude, I'm just really new at all of this and have went from a 150 watt to (2) 150 watt lights to the 600 and now I have the 1000 watt light so I just really need some help.
That's just what I was looking at!Not unless u got money ur electricity bill is going to double I just took my 1000watter down after I got my last electric bill I would stay at 600 unless u can afford it
