Hi everyone.
I got gifted a couple of 1 foot tall clones that were being grown indoor under 18/6 - I put them in a bag, zipped it up and drove 2 hours home then took them out and put them outside for the night.
The first morning I put them in direct sunlight for about 90 mins before reading on here that they should not be put in direct sunlight for 5 days so they can toughen up. So I have been keeping them in the shade ever since.
Yesterday morning (4 days later) I decided to give them 2 hours of direct sunlight and some of the leaves dried right up and twisted.
Clearly they are not ready for direct sunlight (especially the sunlight here in costa rica which is very hot) and I am wondering if they will ever be able to take direct sunlight.
I am also wondering if they even need direct sunlight for the last 2 months or so of their lifespan (they have started to flower now that they are getting 12/12 or close to it).
I have read that you get more yield from direct sunlight and I would like to be able to at some point move them to direct sunlight, I also want to be able to clone the biggest one and grow the clones in direct sunlight right from the get go.
Any thoughts on this would be great. I am pretty sure all 3 are indicas based on the broad shaped wide leaves.
thanks
