Moving T5s back into Veg Room with HPS?

I started all plants from high quality fem seeds under T5 fluro lights. Perfect for seedlings before I transplanted into larger pots and moved into larger 4x4 tent with 400W HPS and 1000 watt LED to continue their veg growth.

I have the T5 light just sitting unused right now, would it be beneficial to add it into the 4x4 tent with HPS and LED still going to bring the total to 3 lights. (Keeping in mind they've been under the HPS and LED only now for 3 weeks)

Would the T5s help at all by providing a bit of blue spectrum? Or not worth the trouble? Thanks for any tips

Using HPS during VEG can lead to stretchy plants with larger spacing between the internodes. HPS has a high amount of red spectrum and more of the blue spectrum during VEG keeps the nodes a little closer together.

What 1000 W LED are you using?

Using a 1000 watt 3500k spectrum SMD LED light with sublime tri chips.

That was my concern with just hps and led was the over stretching. Wondering if adding the T5 in now will help anything, I know the T5 alone is not strong enough

Thanks again

I dont think it will do anything for you unfortunately. The T5 would almost have to sit on top of the plant to get through the power of the HID and LED.
Think it's a good idea, but you'd just be wasting electricity. I had the same idea, and my 315W cmh barely had enough oomph to cut through for side lighting against my 1000w hps'.

Thanks for the feedback, that's kind of what I figured hoping maybe even a trace of blue spectrum would help avoid stretching and encourage additional nodes but wasn't sure if the HID would dominate all other spectrums in the tent.

Cheers guys, great setup as well big beautiful buds in the back corner

would your HPS ballast handle MH bulbs.it would be best to veg under MH and then flower under HPS and LED
