I don't think it's hot up there, I thought the main concern would be the air quality.

Attics ARE hot... add an HID light and they are even hotter.
Do you have your own place? If so there is no need to go to the attic. If you are living with your parents then shame on you for trying to grow in their house without them knowing.

grow in a dresser or something inconspicuous...or make a small growbox and hide it in the back of your closet or somewhere?
i think it would be a bitch to climb into the attic all the time to tend to them but i dont know how your house is set up.

Go up there and check the temperatures with a thermometer once at high noon, once at around 5pm, and again just before sunrise. Not on a cloudy day but on a clear day.
Usually an attic has too big of temperature swings to work well except at certain times of the year but you can do a lot of work to fix that issue if you like and have the money to fix it.
An aerogarden will fit in anything. I would just go buy some huge speaker or something and grow in that completely stealthy in your bedroom. A dresser or cabinet someone might look in but people don't generally think there's anything to look at inside a
speaker. Or inside a RPTV or inside a pc case or a MAME cabinet etc.
Also be aware that attics have open ventilation and bugs will be able to just fly in and attack your plants. Usually you have to do some work to keep the bugs out better but still let the attic breathe. Don't seal it shut though, you'll ruin their house long term doing that.

my attic hite 95+ mid day until about 8-9 then it goes down to about 85-87. No bug probs tho.

ok ya -_- my attic was like at least 99+ i started sweating like insane after just 2 minutes up there, i was gonna put like 2 fans up to keep the heat down but i could find any power source (i was gonna run it through my wall) and i couldnt even stand the heat so i just said fuck it, no matter where i have it in my room it will be found so im just gonna leave it on my desk and say im growing tomatos.

Ive heard that if it snows in winter and you grow in your attic Your house will be the only house with out snow on its roof lol I think mybe someone got caught this way lol Flirs are another problem .
