Mr Canucks (The God Father of Indoor Grow) is known for growing organically with Coco Coir ..yet it seems like it's frowned on when someone here post about growing organically with that soil. Can we? Or is he just Lucky? If you haven't seen his grows..they are above impressive. I'm seriously considering growing organically with Coco Coir.

Organics with coco works fine, it's really not much different from peat in my experience. I ran out of peat when I was making my 30gallon no till pots and one of them is 1:1:1 Coco/aeration/vermicompost and I've never had any issues with it it needs a bit more water than the other plants but that's all I've really noticed.

I've seen tons of people making organic or living soil mixes with coco. The dude that pushes the soil horizon system uses Coco in his mix instead of peat afaik too he likes the like uncompressed fluffy more fibrous looking Coco, I'm pretty sure it's the conibo stuff BAS Sells.

Mr Canuck is kinda a bro science hackjob though imo, not someone I would necessarily emulate but he gets the basics across on how to grow at least.

I never watched his stuff but I thought he was the guy who did coco and dry fertilizer only, which sounds like a bad idea and I can understand why people gave him shit over it. But in the recent video(s) it looks like he's adding worm castings too...isn't that just a regular super soil...? Did he realize that compost is actually the answer?
