About 5 days ago I decided to switch the lighting from 24/0 to 20/4 to try and induce flowering, and it's worked!!

BUT - only one of the plants has started flowering - strangely it's the one that is 10 days younger than the other (always the one on the left in the pics). The older plant hasn't done much, I think I might of got a bit carried away and removed too many fan leaves, so I'm letting that one do it's own thing and hopefully she will start flowering soon too. I've given them both the exact same mix of water/nutes.

I have also moved the lights back to the top of the case (removed the string) - I've done this because I need to go out of state for a week and so I want to allow plenty of headroom from those buds as they are supposed to be BIG with this strain...We'll see :)

How's it been going. I'm afraid mine aren't doing so hot.

I got back from vacation last night, and was amazed at the growth over the past week - They have really burst into life now - beautiful white hairs everywhere :)
Gave them a nice big water last night with plenty of nutes - I can't be far away from seeing some buds now, hopefully within the week. The smell is pretty low at the moment too, just a vague fruity/weed smell but not strong at all. I'm not sure how long now until harvest, hoping it will be around 3 weeks!

They are looking really good and you're doing great on height. Looks like they probably won't get much taller. My autos took 80 days until I harvested. Probably could have even let them go a little more. I'd say that it will probably be about 4-6 more weeks for you, but who knows really. It's all about the plant strain and environment. Make sure you get a 60x jewelers loupe or a microscope so you can check trichcomes. That's the only way to truly know when it's the right time to harvest. Here's a link to the one I have. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JL9TQLA/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_36oaub03BYW8D
Also, if you haven't read this harvesting thread, I would read it and a few others a couple of times. Definitely don't want to harvest too early.

First time poster here. I am using the same setup as you, LED Mr Grow Pro. I did add an exhaust fan at the top in the unused fan slot in the back for exhaust. Was worried about temps later down the road, and also since it's on an external fan controller, it isn't powered by the same strip that's controlling the lights. That way that fan can run 24h through a carbon sheet to control smell during flowering. I thought with the lights off, and thus the fans, smell could possible start to be a little stinky during flowering during the 12 hours of no fans or light.

Your plants are looking great. I am in day 6 of veg and I can already tell that they are stretching a little to get to the LED's on the side of the case. Came across your awesome light setup. Using those same magnets, do you think using something like fixture chain would be better than the gardening wire? Something like

http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Hardware-V2662-36-Inch-Extension/dp/B000R7UY34/ref=sr_1_11?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1409494212&sr=1-11&keywords=fixture+chain#productDetails

Seems like it might be easier to adjust height since you could just use a different loop up top instead of having to mess with wires and tying new knots. Thoughts? I never would have considered hanging the lights before I saw those pics, so all credit goes your way. Both of your guys look great. I'll be watching this grow closely since it's the same setup as mine. Keep up the awesome work!

I ended up trying out some of that wire chain. Went down to local Home Depot and they had everything I needed. Magnet hooks and wire chain. It works great. They ran out of the hook. I ended up just putting a hook magnet directly onto the lights' magnets, one on each side, then using a single hook at the top. They each hold 14 lb so I should have more than enough strength. Ignore how close the lights are in the picture, Was just trying out how easy it was to move around, which it was super easy once you have in installed and have tension on the lines. As soon as I can get two more hooks for the third light I will be ready to go. All in, it probably cost around $15.photo 1.JPGphoto 2.JPG

Hey HopefullyGreen - great to see another Mr Grow Pro LED user!
I like the idea with the chains - They look sturdy, may even try that myself next time round because like you said adjusting the height can be difficult with string. Good luck with your grow and learn from our mistakes :D

Thanks for the link Triplec, will definitely buy one of those when the time comes :)

Not much to report on, still growing very aggressively now, I'm getting excited! I'll post another update with more pics this weekend.

This is definatly the best place to be for us mr grow pro guys ;) Everyone is friendly and so helpful, my plants wouldnt be no where near as good if it wasnt for this forum! Welcome!

If you're looking for something to catch drainage water I found the PERFECT thing for a growpro. The lid of the container he sends with it doesn't lay flat on the bottom, at least for me. It was about 1/4 inch too wide and caused one side to catch the lip at the bottom making it a little crooked. This fits in the bottom of the case perfectly. And I mean perfectly. I ordered and waiting on two small 6 inch cake cooling racks to put in it to lift my containers about a quarter inch off the bottom so if I do have drainage it doesn't just sit in the water. Don't know for sure if those will fit yet (The small racks), but I know for sure this small container does. It will fit a standard 1 gallon container, and I tested a milk jug in it as well. All fit.

Day 58

20140908_172904.jpg 20140908_173036.jpg 20140908_173045.jpg 20140908_173053.jpg 20140908_173107.jpg 20140908_173121.jpg 20140908_173129.jpg 20140908_173139.jpg

So... One of the plants just EXPLODED into life and when I checked them, this one was nearly touching the lights at the top and was getting heat stressed. I tried to gently bend this stalk over and tie it down to rectify this, but then SNAP! this beautiful big top was gone :( I managed to tie the other tall stalks down ok, but this one snapping has seriously stressed the plant out, leaves dying everywhere! She's now showing slow signs of recovery. We'll see..

The other plant is doing great, she has stopped growing vertically and is budding out nice, so I'm hoping this one makes up for the other when it comes to harvest time.

It was my mistake, I became complacent by thinking that because they were flowering they would slow down/stop growing vertically so much. WRONG. So if you're reading this KEEP ON TOP OF THE HEIGHT OF THE PLANT, NEVER THINK YOU'RE "SAFE" like I did.

When yours were still like 1-2 weeks from sprouting old, did you ever notice any light stress? Mine seemed to have tiny spots on a couple of leaves and they are bending in some weird directions, some are canoeing. Not at the edges, but from the middle. It's not heat stress, temps are fine, but did the LEDS ever do anything when they were really young? I just pulled them up to be 8 inches away instead of 6. Worried mine may be too close, or I am being paranoid. Your story made me pull the lights up some, but the last thing I want (apart from a dying plant) is a lot of stretch. Your girls look so sad. I hope they can turn it around for you.

Nope I didnt have heat stress that early on, you'll be fine at 8 inches mine were about 10 inches at veg. Have you checked your PH? How often do you water? It could be something else causing those spots, etc.

Im just hoping my poorly plant will recover, the other one is doing great so not all is lost :)

How's it been going lately?

Not great, somethings up with them. They seem to have "stalled" growing/ budding out and a lot of the leaves are dying on both plants, the leaves are really yellow and dried out.

I cant figure out what it is, the PH is right, the temp inside the case is ok and Ive been giving them the correct amount of nutes. Ive been doing some research and it might be root rot but I cant understand how its happened :(

There is some new growth on the plant that I snapped the stalk on in my last update, which looks pretty healthy.. its just the older big tops that are dying!

Any advice welcome :)
