Dont know where you reside, but here in high ass altitude Colorado, its bone dry... I live at 8100ft and indoor growing during any season has it benefits of its own when it comes to drying and curing here. So I like to hang dry for 3-5 days because the humidity is so low. The stems are right on the brink of breaking or break at 3 to 5 days usually. Then I paper bag for 24-36 hours to get rid of all remaining grass smell and it helps!!! Buds dont get smashed in the bag and after the bag drying is complete, I fill a quart mason jar (s) 80% full, which on my scale is usually a half ounce...so the quart masonjar works great...! I open the jars for 5 to 10 minutes to prevent mold and level out humidity in the jars and bud... do this 3-5 times daily for a month, you can still smoke it during curing, but the more you cure, the better the smoke, taste, the smell and appeal are top notch! I have a jar thats 16 months curing and is very strong, but remember, the longer you cure, the risk of degrading thc is an issue after about 5 months, depending on the strain... I am talking about opening and closing the jars daily, not just leaving it in the jars...
