so i have a master kush seedling that had its first set off leaves and stands about 1.5 inch, the growth under cfls hasnt been very vigourous.

its been growing properly for about 3 days although it sprouted about aa week ago but i fucked alot of things up lol.

im just wondering if the light will add some vigour to my plant growth seeing as its so small ?

Once my clones root, I usually set them for 1 week under the flourescents to let the roots get a good start then it's under the 400W MH. You need to make sure you have a good start on the roots and 2 to 3 fan leaves to have the MH be effective. Believe me, the MH will make up for lost time.

Having crazy amounts of light isn't really all that important until the flowering stage when you're limited by time. You can up your veg production by simply going to 24 hour light rather than having to spend money on a new light :D Regular shop light fluorescents veg just fine, even if it's not quite as efficient as a MH.

Once you hit flower though, you really do get what you pay for. HPS or you can get good results with T5 bloom fluorescents a few inches above a scrog or short SOG.

I know a lot of people with more experience than me do veg under fluro and its well documented that seedlings dont need much light especially but even with small seedlings I can tell a big difference personally between my CFL's and my Metal Halide - Things go much much faster under metal halide it is very noticable for me...So I quit using CFL pretty much all togather and I go straight under 1000W MH 18/6 and I get better results than CFL 24/0 - Maybe my CFLS just suck because a lot of people will tell you there is no difference but in my experience its a big difference (My CFL are only 5500K not the usual 6500K people use so maybe thats part of it)
