Multi Strain Grow

Actually Nick, I (and most others that I've seen) have the stems suspended above the water and getting saturated with the misting from the bursting bubbles - I'm sure that suspended in the water would probably work as well, but the rooting would be slower (not as much oxygen) and the stems would be more susceptible to fungal infections.
I have actually seen it and done it both ways and for me in the water works better. I also like the smaller bubbles from a stone over the bigger bubbles of the wand. I don't really want to get in an argument over it but there are lots of people who keep there stem in the water. And he can try it both ways as see which way works best for him.
And BTW saying that it would root slower in the water over being out of the water may be the case for you but certainly isn't the case for me its actually the exact opposite:leaf:

Fair enough, to each their own - if I may make a recommendation, though, try to pick up one of the "micro-bubble" airstones that you can find at your local hydro store - those things are fugging badass, bazillions of little bubbles really get it misting in there.

Alright guys sorry it's been a minute but here is a picture update. All pictures we're taken before watering, I started feeding humboldt county's own gravity to them also. Wanted them to dry out good after the watering with gravity before I gave fresh well water, thats why the leaves are down. Anyways It's the first day of week 6 of flowering. I think some plant's are a good 3-4 weeks behind a few of them. I think since some were so small when I flipped they still went threw a veg stage. You can just tell by the maturity of some of the buds compared to some younger buds. Anyways the ones that are ahead by alot are afghan kush, white berry (love this strain hugeee nugs) blue venom.

Everything else is behind a good bit, but are getting noticeble bigger every day.

Two of my new seeds sprouted out of 4 I am guessing the other 2 will be within 24hrs.

Also does anyone know anything about t-5? Good for vegging or what? do they create alot of heat? Conisdering one I will be doing some research tonight on them, but wondering your guy's opionions.

T5's are great, they do not put off much heat and are really well suited for seedlings, clones, and smaller mothers. They only give about 18 inches of good light but they can be hung how ever you want and can get pretty close to the plants. I prefer the 4 - 6 bulb units over the single bulb units because they are easier to hang and the reflectors on them concentrate the light better but the single units def. have there place.

Hey nick what do you think about this one? I don't need anything huge, probably house 1 mother and 10-15 clones. Would that be possible with this one? Just can't have anything thats 4 foot long or bigger ya know? Smaller the fixture size the better in my situation.

I figured I'm better off buying a t5 for my mother and clones instead of a inline and cutting more holes or what ever it may be. The noise with the HPS/MH fans to cool them are loud. If t5's are quite and have little heat is what I am looking for.

Will this be enough for what I am trying to do?

Probably not...How big is your veg. room ? Heres a bit better one for a similar price. http://www.horticulturesource.com/grow-lighting-systems-fixtures-movers-ballasts-sockets-reflectors-components-c21/high-output-ho-fluorescent-grow-lighting-fixtures-t5-t12-spiral-compact-fluorescent--s38/c-a-p-custom-automated-products-2-4-bulb-fixture-w-grow-bulbs-25-x-5-x-16--p7330/?osCsid=3f4447c3fd64d4289078310e47a414d5 they also have 6 and 8 bulb ones but I realize your on a budget. P.S. you would still get more light from the 400 watt I think but the t5's are cooler and quieter.

Alright thanks, yeah quiet and not heat is so idle and I am in love with these t5's their perfect for what I need, just need the right output. My veg closest is about 2.5 feet deep and 4 feet long.

How many lumens does that one put out? didn't see anything that said it.

Thanks

That would have to do with the bulbs and not the fixture. It does come with bulbs but it doesn't say how many lumens. C.A.P. makes good products though the light I showed you has a 5 year warranty.

Hey Bob is this the air stone you were talking about?

Well I am trying to decide on my next strain or strains to grow next. I am looking for something with just a MAIN COLA that grows dominant like that. I want to either buy 1 strain with 10 fem'd seeds or 2 strains with 5 fem'd seeds.

Any ideas on strains that grow like this?

I LST my plants so I really have no idea about which strains to get for single cola sog. From what Ive seen most people just lollipop their plants to get single main cola growth. And you can get a pump and air stone at walmart in the pet/fish department.

But, I want to see if that pic was the micro bubble stone bob was talking about. It looks like a good little stone and the ones at walmart are ok but this one looks much better and is just as cheap.

You can also get this stuff at petsmart but I would suggest going to there site first and checking out reviews to see which products are the best. They even have those square 5 gallon tubs/buckets with lids that you can buy for there bulk cat litter.

I'm going to do that because of cost issues. Going to buy a T-5 and make that cloner. Where do i get the pump and airstone?

also do these things bubble loud?
You can get everything you need for it (save for the neoprene collars) at Walmart or a pet store (air pump, air stone, and clear tubing).

Home Depot will have the bucket and the foil tape to make it lightproof.

Hey roland thanks for stopping in. I am 6 1/2 weeks into flowering. The afghan kush, white widow, blue venom, and white berry should all be done within 2-4 weeks depending on how far I want to push them. The afghan and blue venom leaves are already showing signs of finishing up (leaves are dying off and yellowing) they really are crystally as hell.

Skunk #11, burmese kush. gigabud, blue cheese, and chiesel will probably be done within 4-6 weeks depending. Like I said I started these later than the others and I think they went threw a veg cycle a little since I flipped them so early. Their stacking nugs but just behind.

Anyways I plan on doing Snow White for my next grow what does everyone think about that?
