Multi Strain Perpetual Grow Log

Hello everyone, I figured its time to try out a perpetual grow my previous grows were pretty small scale compared to what I have in mind for this one should be interesting. I have been looking into different types of perpetual grows that others had running, and I noticed that neno one is doing a soil run. Since I am low on money I can't afford to get a hydro setup, and ill be forced to go with soil for the first run, after a few harvest I will hopefully get a somewhat respectable hydro setup.


This should be my first "real" grow, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. Without the rollitup community I never would have even planted that first seed which got me hooked. This started as a way to get some free bud and has now turned into a passion that I will continue forever if anyone said weed isn't addictive they haven't grown it before. Sit back and relax this is gouging to be one long journal because I'm still in the construction phase of this grow.

MEDIUM:

I have been looking into the root mass to plant ratio trying to figure out what the smallest size pot I can transplant these clones into for flowering but so far no luck, I found plenty of results for hydro plants but I've read that soil and hydro differs so I guess I'm still going to be researching that. For my grow medium I am going to be using Fox Farm Ocean Forest, and a lot of it! Also another reason why I want to make the switch to hydro, between this perpetual and my outdoor crop I'm looking at way to much soil than I can even add up right now. Another possibility is hempy buckets but I don't have enough knowledge about them to bas my whole grow from hempy buckets I might try 1 just to compare results.

SETUP:
My flower setup will be 2 trays with 8 pots on each of them so a total of 16 plants, I am goig to be making a mother/clone box to ensure that the flowering plants light cycles don't get disturbed. Inside this box I will have the mother plants under CFLs on the lower level. I would like to use a higher power light fort the mothers but they will be switched out every 4 weeks by the clones they produce. In the top level I will have my Ezcloner under the tubes and possibly some CFLs I'm not sure on how much light to give them yet.

Update:
Well this is the first update no pics yet but once more progress is made I will have a weekly pic update. So far I have made the new space its a 4x4 (4 plants not feet) area with a 12 foot ceiling so heights no issue I have the mother plant making my clones now there are 16 bud sites on the plant so I figure I need 4 this week 4 2 weeks later and so on, and every second week I will take an extra cutting and use it as a mother plant. Other than that just got the new ezcloner I have been waiting for so the grow now begins stay tuned!

first in line, pullin up my chair and DEF subbd' for this one....super silver haze..killer ufckin strain homey...so what do u plan to do...harvest 8 plants every 4-5 weeks(dont know how long SSH matures in)???perpetual or the bomb bro...constant fresh smoke and best part(for me) is that u can have a diff strain going through every 4-5 weeks if u wanna...im gonna be keeping and eye over here, and if u wanna check out my perpetual, maybe we can throw some ideas back and forth....i run a 3 tray ebb n flow system, so it cuts my 10 week strains down to about a harvest of 25 plants every 3 1/2 weeks....I wanna see some pics of the setup bro....ganja

Welcome welcome, the master plan is to harvest 4 plants every 2 weeks. I just got my Ezclone all setup and added a heater so the grow starts Monday I'm going to take 8 cuttings 4 for mother and 4 for flower and everytime I move 4 to flower I start rooting another 4. The first strain up is c99 then the super silver haze is up I need to get some extra cash so I can order the seeds but my setups basic just a 400w hps for flower and cfls for the mothers and clones after the c99 ill get a 1000w for the Super silver haze. We should definatly share ideas this is my first grow with a lot of plants, how much do you yield off your setup I'm curious to see what kind of yields the clones get with no veg. I'm afraid that 4 plants won't yield what I'm looking for. Checking out our grow now.

Hey bro any (i hope all) of those clones root?

Two are showing signs of root growth but they still have about a week until they are fully rooted, I'm going to do an update today once they lights turn on in a hour or 2 ill throw up some pics of the clones.
