Mushroom Flushig Help

I was wondering, i am growing mushrooms via BRF tek... I just did my first flush, it was amazing... but this time after the harvest, there are considerably large spots of mycelium showing on the cakes.

After my 24 hour dunk should i go ahead and sprinkle some verm over the spots where the mycelium is showing? Should the cakes always get "rolled" in verm after for every flush? If so, why? If it makes no difference, why?

When i ran PK tek i only ever rolled once. Rolling again exposes them to a much larger chance of infection.....

Also another question if any care to reply, is there a big difference in the potency levels between orginal harvest and first, second, third flushes etc.?

Nope. i find what all of the flushes will be the same potency. it depends on the nutrients they recieve, mycelium strength and Genus.

HOWEVER - I have found that the fruit grows lighter from the first flush to the last - the walls of the stems are thinner even though later flushes may grow taller or larger.

Definatly. the first flush ALLWAYS pushes the most weight for me. as the myc gets older and loses moisture it gets weaker, producing smaller and smaller mushrooms.

Interesting - I have found the opposite I get smaller fruit in the first flush - although many more of them, and as the flushes progress I get fewer but larger fruit - some grow to extraordinary sizes - although there may be no more than 4 or 5 in the tray. Of course, as I say, they are not as heavy.
