Mushroom Growing Problems

Hey all you experts! Need some advice!

I purchased the Mushroom Magic Kit from Spore Farmer and a syringe of Orissa India spores. I injected the bag in a sterile environment on December 23,2011 and I can't see any signs of Mycellium.

Is it too early to be concerned or should I just keep waiting?

I have heard that this strain takes awhile but this seems like its wrong...

while I have no experience with either the "kit style grow" or this particular strain, I'd at least ask for more detail...temps, humidity, incubation chamber...but you should be seein' some growth after this amount of time...wish I could help more...someone will chime in I'm sure....good luck!!

Not sure with this method.. I always bought ready to grow kits, but I think this is quiet long tho..

Been keeping it between 70-80 degrees F and at least 40% humidity in just the area around it. I have the kit in a paper bag to keep out the light and there is a heat mat under it to help regulate the temps.

alright im new to this too but i unlike u did alot of reading, if ur gonna invest money in somthing do it rite, there are loads of free documents for any one to read that will inform u at shroomery.com or org idk. i too spent money on a kit before i read up and found that the kits a waste, for half the price u can do it urself, although i do like not having to prepare the subtrate jars ill pay for that. what it sounds like is u injected a spawn bag? i think, look up the pf tek that the tek the kit i bought is meant for,it came with 18 jars, 8 injected with golden teacher 10 injected with lipa ya, im also taking notes to compare differences between colonization time, number of flushes and how large ect. but u have to be patient, the spawn bags take much longer to colonize than the jars. i havent noticed much yet from my spawn bag either, also some strains colonize much faster, all my lipa ya ar movin along fast 6 days after innoculation but the golden teachers have just begun. and also colonize at a slower pace, so if i were u id take some time to read a whole lot on the subject, and try to swich over to the pf tek

Ok, I did do a lot of reading and figured that this bag would be the easiest way to do my first run and then I will be doing the PF tek after this. I did not get jars, it is a spawn bag and it cam with a spray bottle and a syringe of spores.

I'd suggest you google a couple places:

1. pf tek for simple minds
2. Shroomery
then read everything you can using the search engine for about 20 hours
, give or take

This procedure will surprisingly guide you to the answer you seek.

id just prefer a plan b, say sumthin goes wrong with the bag, then u have nuthin to fall back on. i have a bag in with my jars, and i havent noticed ne noticable colonization, while almost all my jars have started to colonize 6 days after inoculation, sry i came across as a dick. im just a little harsh sumtime

  • where did u get ur jars from already sterilized?​

they came with the kit i bought from midwest growkits, they sell them at everythingmushrooms.com too, thats wher i think im getting my next batch from, they also have pf style jars for woddlovers at everything mushrooms, i thought that was neat
