Mushroom start up cost?

what do you think the start up cost would be for a shroom farm yeilding a qp

A pressure cooker($50-$100) jars($10for 12) wild bird seed(cheap) verm and perlite this time of the year buying online is best...($20) Rubbermaid tubs(cheap) spore syringe($13)

plus some little knick knack's if you don't already have thing such as rubbing alcohol and sanitizers, gloves, those kinda things.

flourescent lights..aquarium heater with adjustable therm. for incubater...a timer(12/12)...just read through my grow logs, they are pretty detailed.

spores101.com 12cc syringe is like $20 with shipping ($8 a peice if you buy 30, free shipping) iv probly put these peoples kids through college with all my orders and referals,

jars, $1 a peice, come in 12, buy 48. more than enough
Vermiculite, 4 cubic feet, $10 from the nursery, way more than enough
Brown rice flour, $5 a kilo last time i ordered any id have to dig up the site
(or you can make your own)
pressure cooker, $30 from wally world
water - free
rubbermade tubs, almost any will work, at least 2' tall
blue LED nightlight, one per tub $5
didnt use perlite for humidity, too much of a mess.. made a cheap humidifier

tally it up per jar
jar -$1
spores -$1 (1 syringe will do 12 jars)
verm/BRF- like .50c

so about $3 a jar if you do the noob method (once you get clean innoculations down, move to higher yeilding methods)
my rule of thumb was 3.5-7g DRY per cake/jar,
so.. 32 jars would make a qp or more if none contaminated
do 12 jars a week and youll have it down

I have bought over 20 syringes from 101, sporevisions is the shit. $13 for all cube syringes..plus he always throws in a freebee! Plus they have PE

i couldnt be happier with 101, usually gives an extra syringe or two to big orders to returning customers and gets here in half the time they quote EVERY time, but i think i may just be close to where they ship?

did B+, gold teacher, thai, and a few others ad wernt impressed at all for my gorwing style

did get great results with cambodian and "alakabenzi" hadnt seen it anywhere but 101 and it is amazing.. but taken a hiatus for the past year on fungus and doing my new hobby (400wT5 SOG, dirt, all foxfarm, AK48, still dialing it in)

i had tried B+ and golden teacher when i FIRST started trying to grow mushrooms, they had good incubation rates and really hardy its just the yeilds were smaller, but i will say it MIGHT of been my fault and i just got better with time. but i did get 100% colonization in a not so steril invronment.. so i will call them hardy.

the cambodians and alacabenzi had fewer but larger fruits and less aborts than the B+ and golden teacher, with those i ended up with a LOT of smaller >1g mushrooms

as far as trip wise... iv NEVER been able to actually tell the difference between the trips of different mushrooms, not saying its not true, i just never notice.
good luck, its really not too hard... and once you get it right you and your friends are in for a treat.

Weird. I've always had different trips with different mushrooms (by different i mean visual and body effects), and they've all be basically the same dose, give or take .1 or .2 grams. The last mushrooms I had gave me some bad anxiety and everyone else that took them reported that too. Some mushrooms make me giggle for 6 hours straight some don't(unfortunately. god I love those deep belly laughs). I suppose it probably has more to do with my mindset before each trip, but I always go into a trip happy and confident.

yea i think its just me... i usually tripped with the same group and they could all tell the differences, usually eating what i grew.

the one time i ate someone elses mushrooms was a big mushroom chocolate that made me extreamly anxious and i had an attention span/memory of about 4sec.... really weird feeling, like you said, others reported the same thing from the batch of chocolates that were around.

the ones i grew never gave me anxiety, nor did i ever hear about other people who got some ever having a bad trip. id like to attribute that to the good energy i put into the grow

Most cubes will last about 6 to 8hrs, a PE trip will last you 10hrs or more!
