mushrooms...and not the good kind

so something weird happened!

my plant has been growing for about 3 weeks now and was going sideways, but then i moved it closer to the light and buried it a bit deeper, and now she is just THRIVING!

probably 5x the size she was.

BUT.....

little mushrooms have been popping up in the soil around her.

This is an indoor plant...so where the hell did they come from?

What kind of soil are you using? Is it high in manure and compost? If so, that happens. Just pick them out.

Oh, and also make sure you are not over-watering and you have good drainage. Fungus grows in conditions of over-watering and bad drainage.

I've been getting mushrooms too, I hate those bastards, the come up every night, I'm going to stop watering for 2 days and see if they go away

Not sure about indoors, but typically if you get mushrooms outside in a flower bed, this means the nutrients in the soil are perfect. Mushrooms are never a bad thing from what I have been told.
