Mushrooms growing.

Hello all, found these growing in a house plant, wasn’t allowed to drill holes in the bottom. She used dirt that was left outside all year, probably absorbing the bacteria and fungus all year. What should I do? I will probably leave them or take them out before they send tiny spores everywhere? Many months ago when she transplanted them there was a white layer of fuzzy mold all over the entire surface.

@SnidleyBluntash that looks great. I'd probably kill the the houseplant (not the fungi) and add all the soil to my cannabis grow. Your wife might not like that though. Lol

BTW, how long do crispy-dried cubensis last if stored in mason jars with oxygen absorbers in the deep freeze (-20 C)? I've had many put away for years and years, but no idea if they're good. I guess I'm going to have to try them again soon because I have a very old friend who wants to try micro dosing with them.

Your mushrooms are too young to easily identify from a photo. I would avoid attempting to eat them. The chances of a Psilocybin species of mushroom spontaneously growing in potted house plants is likely near zero.

@Richard Drysift That photo is one of the trays of king oyster mushroom bottles I did in an old fridge years ago. I bought them from the Asian store, and then washed them in ISO before pealing them to reveal their inner flesh. Then I threw it into a blender with distilled water, and injected them into the quart bottles filled with organic rye kernels.. I've used this method with cubensis as well. I have a laminar flow cabinet, which makes it pretty easy.

Once I even tried semilanceata. It grew lots of fuzz in petri dishes, but I could not get it to fruit at all. Even had a fridge on a controller to simulate the conditions in fall in Nova Scotia. lol

Impressive...Flow hood is the way to go; I only have a SAB and Lysol. What an easy way to clone a culture though; I envy you.
