Howdy all from "daho"
I looked through the posts, but still can't decide if this is caused by thrips. I mean I'm pretty sure it's them crawllin round on and under the leaves, even a bit of web like the spider mites. The old garlic spray has seemed to slow them down. But these spots confuse me, as there are not that many thrips.
Lemme know what you all think.

Also, all my older leaves drooped, yellowed and fell off in the last couple days. Is the root ball only near the surface?
Top couple inches is dry, lower than5 inches is saturated. Probably poor drainage, but in a plant thats over two years old, I would think the roots would be deeper. Any thoughts?

Yes, it's over two years old, same bottom , new growth above. It got a little out of hand and is over 5 feet tall. Lots of buds.

It was happy until last week. I don't know if I over watered it or the spider mites, (as I now know), caused the change with all the old sun leaves dying in a couple days.
My poor baby. :C(

the mites will kill it. try this: Don't Bug Me Insect Spray

it's organic and you can use it up to a few days before harvest. spray the bottoms of leaves liberally. it kills them on contact. wait a few days and spray again. repeat until all pests and EGGS are dead.

Alas, but I was too late. After following the link for the bug spray, (excellent informative link about pests), I went back to my plant and discovered it was completely inundated by the little suckers. No time to order anything, I had to trim all the leaves and spray the remaining with a home solution.
The kicker is that the buds haven't yet ripened, a week or so to go. :C(
We'll see how buds without sunleaves fare.
So to all, be warned about bringing outside plants into your growing room. Strangely, the tomato plants show no mites.
