Mutated growth - cut it or leave it?

Plant is 7 weeks old. Basically bag seed. One of my plants last year threw a few seeds, this being one. Not sure what to think of this mutated growth and if there is any benefit to cutting it off. Looks like the fan leaf and branch grew as one. Is this a sign of unstable genetics or just a random anomaly?

Looks like it topped itself. Ive seen this before but usually just after the first node. Bag seed man.... watch out for pollen sacks.
