Dry, you mean rain? Couple of rain storms per season here. Overcast with chance of showers has I type..Wow man those are some nice trees!! Do they stay dry all the way through harvest?
Thanks, check out last seasons grow "How do they look 2"omg nice work you they look nice wish my one would ship out before i got to ship it out and start over
I like the praying mantis as they eat alot of pests like grasshoppers, moths, and catapillers. The one thing about mantis' is that they are territorial and will eat everything, including each other, until one dominant female is left in a 500 sqft area. Since they can fly they do fly off too. WHen they mate, the female attracts the male and then eats the head of the male to cause ejaculation. I learned this when I was studying beneficial pests for orchid growing.Placed 3 praying mantis egg sacks out about a month ago and have seen the babies in and around the garden. This is something we do each season to help control the pest problems, (think it's more for the feel good effect) but it's a habit now.
LOL can't let the wife read this post, don't want her to get any ideas..Yea we try to stay natural here, hated like hell to even spray Safer caterpillar killer these last 2 seasons. YUK! Hoping now that were out of the drought that the caterpillars will not return this year.
