My 1rst grow. AMS and Green O matic

Hi all, first of all sorry for any mistakes, its prittie hard to write for me because english is not my main language.

So i decided to grow 3 plants for myself. I have 1 AMS and 2 Green-O-matic seeds from greenhouse seeds.
I picked those seeds because they are easy to grow, and they fits my region rought climate (Western Europe).
I will grow outdoors in forest where i found a spot with ~16hrs of sun. Neer streamlet, so there will be no problem with water.
I will try to go to my spot as less as possible.
Idont decided which nutrients, and which soil i will use yet. But i think i will buy soil with added nutrients, ph 6.5-7.0, and i will mix it with some perlite.

My seeds arrived 2010.05.28 in the morning. So i startet germinating them as soon as they arrived.

Here is my germinating setup:



Im using usb cup warmer to keep warmth for germinating seeds.

first seed germinated about after ~ 16 h from germinating start.
second germinated after 24h, and the last one germinated about 36h after start.

1 question, how do i know when my germinated seeds is ready for planting in soil?

I transfered my seeds to soil.

One seed of 3 died:/ i dont know what happend, all was germinating together, and after that all was planted in same soil...

For everyone else, I didnt know what AMS nor Green-O-Matic strains were like so I got some info from Greenhouse seeds

AMS


Genetics: Swiss sativa, Swiss indica.
Effect: Strong high, with a clearside and a more introspective one. Very particular taste, sweet and complex.
Flowering indoor: 9 weeks will deliver the most amount of resin. Commercial growers harvest in 8 weeks. Yield between 500 and 700 gr/sqm.
Flowering outdoor: Will finish by begin October in the Northern hemisphere, or by mid May in the Southern. Yield up to 800 gr/plant. Mould resistant strain!
THC: 17.08%


This one should be a little cheezy lol

Green-O-Matic:

Genetics: Ruderalis, Moroccan, White Dwarf, Low Rider
Effect: mild, fast hitting, stoned.
Flowering indoor: 6 weeks (55 days from start to finish)
Flowering outdoor: 6 weeks

But only one problem, i dont know which one died green O matic or AMS.........Its a long story, i mixed up seeds by an accident..
anyway, i thint those two are Green o Matic.. because they growing identicaly..

do you know how the other one died??? Maybe its just a lil sleepy....hahaha

The other one germinated about 4mm root, and stoped... i have been waiting for fiew days but she didnt grew up... then i thouth maybe planting to soil will help... but afrer fiew days still no progres... then i digg her out, to see if there is any progress... but i saw that she roted:/

that sucks dude....i just had one do the same thing
i think it was cause i was trying a new germ method

I have found through trial and error that when u germinate your seeds wait till u have a root that is about a half inch to an inch long, then bury only the root in soil not the seed. 90% germ rate. Reason why( the leaves are in the seed and the leaves need to be above ground when they open. If they open in the soil the leaves rot. Canabis seeds naturally fall on top of soil and the root works its way down inside. There is a youtube video by pirates of the canabian that realy does a great job at explaning this in detail.

they both are healthy and looking nice...
i started using nutes about week ago... NPK 5-2.5-2.5...here is some pics.

I did a big mistake which is that i started using flowering nutes only few days ago!!! and i think my flowering is near the end://

this is my outdoor AMS it got so big

any thoughts on taste and smell? also what kind of bud structure does it have? nice plants by the way
