I would say one degree down on the AC will cover the heat from going from 23w to 42w.
very nice Ruva another successful cfl grow that should put the haters to rest for a little. dank lookin nugs tho man all very good strains
I used a 4" inline duct fan for exhaust and a 4" passive intake. I had a couple of 4" desktop fans that I set on top of the 125W lamp reflector to keep air circulating. The box was in a climate controled room and the temps usually stayed around 78 degrees but at times would hit 80. I tried to keep the box door open when I could and that helped. If i did it over again I would use a 6" fan instead of a four and maybe use a 4" for an intake.could you give us some more details about your ventilation? what type and size of fan and what are the temps?
Haha im def goin with a screen next time too O.ODarkdestruction and Illegal Smile, Thanks for the comments.
If I had put more thought into this I would have done a couple things differently. Like I would have scrapped the idea of buying this 125W light fixture and just made a couple more light bars. The second thing is I would have used a 6" fan instead of a 4". Third I would have built a screen and put two plants in there.
Thanks for the advice on the lights. I am running some errands this afternoon and will look for some 42W bulbs and if not TOO expensive I will pick some up. I will probably buy some materials to make a couple more light bars and scrap that fixture also.
One thing Im worried about though. Do you guys think it will bring temps up much if I switch from 23W to 42W?
For sure. even with the nine plants that I had stuffed in there, there was so much wasted space.Haha im def goin with a screen next time too O.O
Even with CFLs and being able to place the lights wherever if growing in a space like yours it seems so much space gets wasted don't it? Granted its only 4 ft but a screen fills the whole thing up perfectly haha. Im DEF gonna do that next time too =P
