well. got banned from icmag because i posted where an led vendor gets their lights. i guess letting newbies know their getting ripped off is against icmag policy. anyway. don't feel like writing up all my info. about my room again, so i'm just gonna post some pictures, and if you have any questions ask.

currently vegging under 3000 watt MH soon to be 8000 hps.

bout to put 2000 mh for flower on a mover running along side the duct.

Dude, your just asking to get caught. The electric company is going to pick up on whats going on fairly quickly. Not only that, but damn man.. you must have one hell of a ventilation system.. and some hella fans for sure..

what kind of ventilation and fans you using to keep temps in check? Because with lights like that.. that many watts.. your going to have MAJOR heat issues man.

If your really running what you say your running.. your playing a big risk of getting caught and or starting a fire.

Hope you know what your doing.. ;)

EDIT: Yep, after viewing your pictures here I would have to say you look like you know what your doing for sure. Nice setup dude.. I can tell you've spent a lot of time and money just into the setup you have put together here. I still can't believe that your running that many watts bro.. geeez. But real talk, man, be careful because running 3k watts at once.. is going to make your meter run like its been smoking crack.. and the electric company can report it to the police if they see any patterns with when you do your lights on/off
times. I dunno.. just be careful man.. and I also see that you do in fact have one hell of a ventilation system.. more than good enough to handle the 3k and 8k watt lights and the heat that they radiate out and generate. Keep up the good work.. and good luck to ya man.

thanks for the compliments ganja. i am in a medical state, and my plant numbers are lower than i'm allowed to have. im 100% legal and than some :)

p.s. all electrical and building was done to code :)

p.p.s. i will be runnign 10k in flower and i have another 2k flower room on 24/7 that is not shown. my a/c is the same as a running 3000 watts. so basically when my flowering room is on i'm running 15,000 watts worth of electricity. but like i said. medical state. very lenient. about to legalize. peace.

This is a 100% legal medical grow.

I decided to leave my old forums site. The site is running so slow for me now, and I cant see other peoples pictures. And the new layout sucks. So icmag. Here I am!!

To the room. It's gonna be a 10k watt medical grow. I started with the electrical. All of this whole room is ran off a 100 amp sub panel next to my main panel. If anyone wants pics of that let me know. The 100 amp sub panel powers 2 more panels. One runs 6 lights. The the other runs 4. The reason I have 2 timers on each is because each timer can only handle 4 lights.

The a/c unit is an excel air 4 ton stealth unit. This is hardwired directly in the panel. With separate breakers for the air handler and the compressor/outside unit. I have yet to run the duct work for the air handler yet. It will be 12 inch duct work right up the middle of the room with holes alternating on each side every 2 feet. This will evenly distribute the air in the room.

I'm also running an 8 burner co2 LP generator hooked to a co2 monitor with a 40 lb propane tank.

There will be 5 oscillating fans to keep air flow around the room optimal. Also during the night there will be a 1200 cfm fan exhausting outside the room to keep humidity down while the a/c will keep it down during the day.

For smell I am running an 8 inch carbon filter and an ozone generator on the side of the room. I will be adding another 12 inch carbon filter at the end of flower.

The style of grow will be SCROG with a 3'x3' screen under each 1000 watt light. There will be 8 plants under each screen. For a total of 80 plants. I will veg and train for 5-6 weeks before flipping them to 12/12.

Working on the security too. Got these things setup so if a window is broken or a door opens I get a text. After that I have cameras that I can check with my iPhone. As well as multiple steel reinforced doors, dead bolts, and door stoppers. All commercial grade. Haaaa. Paranoid much eh?

All genetics are from clone. They are.

Cherry Lime Kush (24%+ thc...ak47xOG kush)
Pure Kush (cannabible legend OOGK..super hard to find clone)
Afghan Kush (from nirvana seeds, they haven't sold this strain in years..great smoke)
DJ short blueberry (super blueberry pheno..crack about 50 beans before finding this pheno)

on a side note: i just ordered shaun t's insanity. it's a 60 day workout. on the first day of flower i will start doing insanity. i will post pictures of my progress of my buds every update and i will also be posting a picture of my abs. should be pretty funny

I can't tell you how many times I've thought the exact same thing, yet continue to hear/see other peoples' 10K watt grow ops. Definitely something I'm too chicken shit to do myself, but damn, if someone had the time, space, genetics, nutes, and other requirements to make it happen without alarming authorities, more power to them. I just calculated that at my electricity price of 8 pence a KW, I'd be paying £12 an hour! I think you should grow whatever the maximum allowance is in your state. Just my opinion, but I wish my set-up looked like that. £12 = $17.58 an hour! (todays exchange rate)

Damn, that's almost $20 bucks an hour. Fuck that! If all the environazis want to push the rest of the world into using less power, then the only option is to let people grow outdoors and stop all the electricity use. Of course, that will never happen which is completely retarded. The point being, that no money is made on people using the sun for it's energy, and therefore, there are no pockets to fill doing things that way. Anyone that thinks that this whole "global warming" concept is anything more than a huge power grab and a massively dynamic way to control nations' economies is nothing more than a common idiot.

I think it's overkill as there isn't the space to make it pay.. say you average 18hrs electricity a day at 15,000 KW that would cost $300? Now say 90 days x $300 is $27,000 for a quarter year bill. Can you fit $27K of bud in that room?

I'm on the lowest tariff of 8p a kilowatt in UK which is roughly 12 cents. I doubt he gets it much if any cheaper. Ham&Cheese, do you know what tariff you're on? Or do you own the Hoover Dam? lol
