My Afghan Kush grow!

A friend of my sister's gave me some Afghan Kush seeds from a grow he'd had a couple of years ago. They're regular, not feminized or anything. But I decided since my big order got confiscated and I can't afford shipping for the replacement order yet, (they offered me 50% of the order in store credit, but I have to pay for shipping. And like $8 over what my credit is because it wasn't enough for what I wanted most.) I decided to plant these.

I forgot to take a picture last night, but I popped them into a few Taco Bell napkins and sprayed some water into the ziplock bag with my spray bottle. This morning the tails were huge. I planted them in Red Solo cups this morning, the bottom one inch was gravel and the rest is Pro-Mix potting soil. I don't have any pictures of the cups but I'll get some tomorrow.

I'll be planting them outside for a guerrilla grow near my home in a secure rural location. I've done two indoor grows but never an outdoor grow before. I'm also growing a Girl Scout Cookies hybrid, and two plants of the ones I've grown before. I call them Jackalope OG because it's a custom mix I was given by the same friend and a male Nepalese my mother gave me a seed for. It made a really strong plant that I love.

I was hoping for 10 regular plants this year, and 4-8 autoflowering. Lofty dreams I guess, but at least I have these going for me! I'll update with pictures and info as I go, and will get a picture of the cups tomorrow for continuity's sake. :bigjoint:

I haven't had much in the way of pictures because there's been workmen from the power company in and out of the yard the last several days and I've been afraid to just place the cups outside where they can see them. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

However, when I saw the anomaly on this one I decided to take a picture and post it. I normally don't take pictures inside my house for safety, but I've never had a deformed/mutated seed leaf like this before.

(Sorry for the dirty appearance on my hands. I tie-dyed some stuff for my nephew and my hands got stained. It's been taking it's time fading away.)

The first pic of the one in your hand, you should never handle a germinated seed like that. The tail is called a radical and it has very tiny hairs on it. If you damage some of the hairs, it will definitely affect the growth of the said plant. Always in the future handle with tweezers and or very carefully. Peace

Thank you, I never knew that. I'll start using tweezers from now on, I already have a pair in my kit. Thank you, I appreciate the advice! :weed:
